This place sells good custard ice cream. We were traveling and stopped in Indy. It was so good, had to stop and get some for trip back home.

Had never been here. I tried to order flavors based on what was listed on the website. The girl at the drive-thru let me know that they only have the flavors posted up on the side of the building which is no biggie - a lot of those, though different from what I was trying to order, looked delicious too. But her tone and the way she said "excuse me we don't have those flavors" with so much scorn - like dang gurl you ain't have to talk to me like I'm a complete idiot I'll just go elsewhere...
My first visit & I loved it! I enjoyed a strawberry shake, my friend had a chocolate shake. The facility is clean & inviting & the service provided by the two young men working, was very good. The location is great, easy in & out.

Horrible service. 6-7 kids serving 10 patrons was a train wreck.

I must say we've been coming here for years (summers mostly) and we always get peanut butter mountains with extra peanut butter, no whipped cream, no cherries. I've noticed the last couple of years the flavor had changed and they are just not as good. This year so far, we've tried it 3 times and have been very disappointed all 3 times. I think the flavor of the custard has lost its rich creamy flavor. The last 2 times, there were ice crystals in it which signals freezer burn. The peanut butter sauce is very mild and not as rich as it used to be, hardly can tell its peanut butter flavored. And lastly, the 'candies' have all been mainly crumbs and no flavor. They actually taste freezer burnt too and rather old. It's sad to say that our enjoyment for ritter's has passed and we probably will have to find our ice cream elsewhere. Good bye peanut butter mountains and good bye Ritter's.

I haven't been to Ritters in over 15 yrs
so I decided to take my 3 yr old today
My ice cream was okay. The butter pecan was very smooth and had fewer nuts in it, which I loved there
wasn't much to say about the chocolate custard that I had my son
enjoyed his ice cream a lot , we will definitely be back maybe to try something different.

The turtle sundae is delicious. We have chosen Ritters over Dairy Queen on East Thompson Rd. for many reasons ! Try it !

Ice cream, shakes & sundaes are on point, BUT a little pricey! A regular size Chocolate shake, Oreo shake & turtle sundae with marshmallows added in it was $17 & some change! ?
