The food was delicious. We had enchiladas that were different from any we'd had before. The Armando's pizza was enormous! They were not serving alcohol during our visit, although they have a significant bar area. Nice family type Mexican restaurant.

Prices are absurd for the bland food. You think they would try to lure people in with better food/prices despite not having a liquor license but it’s quite literally the opposite.
Salsa tasted store bought & chips were stale.
My 1 year old daughter kept crying when we fed her the kids chicken quesadilla & beans because they were spicy.

The prices are way too high for the food quality. The chips were stale. They threw so many at us, like they were just trying to get rid of them. The interior is lovely & service was just okay. I wouldn't choose to go here again. It used to be my favorite years ago when they were in downtown Fishers.

For a couple of months now, they've been unable to sell alcohol. We went there for dinner last night. I asked our server about the liquor license issue... he said they fully lost it but didn't go into detail. I also learned during the course of that conversation that from his understanding, they are actually closing their doors for good... he said next week would be their last week open. Such a profound loss for our area. It's been a local favorite for over a decade! It will be greatly missed. I'm still hoping for a miracle, but preparing to have to find a new 3rd place for my family and friends.
Original Review: My family and I have been going to Riviera Maya for years, back when they were at their original location! It's a family favorite. We probably go at least twice a month, sometimes once per week. The staff know us. Their customer service is second to none! The food is delicious... they will let you customize anything. I'm gf and at times even when I was doing keto, they were incredibly flexible in letting me order the way I needed. Their queso blanco and salsa are always a crowd pleaser!!! One visit, just after "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead), our server surprised me by giving me a box and said "this is for you because you're one of our favorite regular customers"... it was a painted mug in the shape of sugar skull. It's beautiful and really made us feel valued! I regularly recommend Riviera Maya to friends, family and coworkers. Just remember, a one off bad experience can be had at any establishment once in a while... this restaurant has a 99.9% success rating in my book. The only time I really have issues or feel their customer service isn't top notch is with the hostess/checkout stand. The wait staff are always phenomenal!!
The food was the same and great as usual. They STILL can't sell alcohol! The server said that maybe next week they could start selling beer again, but no margaritas. Does anyone know what happened to their liquor license?

Service was good. Food was mediocre. My carne asada tacos were decent, but I wish they had used corn tortillas and added onion and cilantro. My mom got a steak ordered rare, but came out well done. Damn near unedible. I might come back. But I wasn't impressed.

If I ever go back, I won't be ordering a Taco Salad again.
I can't believe i had to get up and find my waiter to ask for more lettuce and diced tomatoes!

I used to love this place, but-oh boy! It has gone downhill. The staff keeps getting ruder and ruder. The food is mostly tasteless. They keep messing the order or forgetting to add tortillas to the order. But this was the final straw.I called back to cancel my order within 30 seconds, and they said I can't call anymore. It was literally just a few seconds. And I have been a loyal customer for seven years and never cancelled ever.
They have also increased their prices. It's a four-dollar increase on some items. Every staff member, from the front line to the back, doesn't seem to care about the customers at all. It feels like everyone working there hates their job. This used to be my favorite spot, but now it’s a dump. I think today was the last time I ever called. Very disappointing.

We’re from Texas so the bar on good Mexican Food is high. And it just might have been the time of day (we got there between lunch and dinner) on a Wednesday. But this place is pretty average. On all accounts. No happy hour prices on food or drinks. Salsa wasn’t spicy at all. Good margaritas but had to look around for our bartender to order a 2nd one later.
