Extremely underwhelming. Brisket hash was dry and tasted awful. It’s not even brisket…it’s definitely pot roast. Pot roast is delicious when done right but don’t call it brisket. I wanted biscuits and gravy but the gravy has onions. Who puts onions in breakfast gravy? The parents breakfast plate looked like a hotel or hospital cafeteria breakfast plate. If the scrambled eggs didn’t come from a bag I’d be surprised. Frozen fries…my bacon was very undercooked. This is not the type of food expected for a great brunch spot on Mass Ave. On top of the bad food the service was subpar. Could never recommend or return. So much potential in this space being wasted.

Great service. Fun, quirky atmosphere. Food was nice and fine - not good, not bad. But I'd eat there again!

Roosters Kitchen used to be the best place in the city to get an an amazing brisket dinner with delicious grilled carrots. We always started our dinner off with the best ever cheese spread in toasted beget.Last week we headed down to Mass Ave to get our favorite meal and to our surprise, they have removed the brisket dinner and the amazing cheese spread from their menu. This place has always had terrible service and the atmosphere is much to be desired, but the brisket and cheese spread was so good we overlooked the service issues. The new menu is ridiculous and is sure to put this already struggling restaurant out of business. Wish the best for them and hope they can get it together before they happens, but we will not be returning.

I have heard rave reviews about Rooster's Kitchen Mac & Cheese. So when my kids wanted to try a new restaurant with healthy choices, we chose to go and splurg. The restaurant decor had a bright, hearty American vibe. The tables and chairs were comfortable. The waitresses sat us in the far, back, corner. We had a 360 view of the restaurant and Tvs. I liked that because I wanted to see everything that's going on, but I thought the seating was far considering the fact that we were the only people there. The music choices were...interesting. Not typical for the type of decor. I ordered the Brisket Melt with tomatoes, lettuce, and with a side of Mac & cheese. My daughters ordered a BLT, Mac & Cheese, and brisket Mac & cheese. They had a variety of drinks, custom sodas, sweet tea, etc. As an appetizer, we had the pork rinds. The sandwich and rids were delicious! They were well done, good-looking, and large. But the Mac & Cheese was terrible, watery, and runny. We all agreed on this. It was a terrible letdown. I had better out of a box. We had to add salt and pepper for taste, and it still needed cheese. The choice as it for a side also added $12 to our final bill. Altogether with tip and drink, the meal was about $30 per person. I thought that was a little pricey, considering the unsavory Mac. I will return for the sandwiches. They were filling and priced accordingly. But I will avoid the upcharge for the Mac.Parking: Parking meter was not operating properly.

Food was ok, burger was burnt on one side, great fries, the rest of the burger had great ingredients. With a better quality of meat this place would be one to compete against.

Been trying to get to Roosters for months but never seem to be here when open or open when here. Hours on Facebook, Yelp and their Web page are all slightly different. My husband had an appointment down town this morning so we were in the area to try it again. One place said they opened at 10 am one place said 11am. I was looking forward to two things. The spreadable cheese with little grilled breads and Turkey Bacon Thyme Sandwich. Mostly the Cheese Spread. On line menu said they had these two items. Go to the restaurant and the cheese spread is no longer served. Bummer!!! I ordered my Turkey sandwich...waawaaa they don't have the Turkey. Ended up ordering French Toast bites and a BLT and husband got Grilled Cheese. Food took a tremendous amount of time. Two people in the Kitchen and one person was new. No big deal already disappointed in not having the items I wanted. This was gong to be a three star or less review but the server did make up for disappointment. She was super personable and easy going. She took the French Toast Bites off the bill since our food took so long and they didn't have the two things I really wanted. The food we got was really good. The French Toast Bites were very very good. My sandwich had crispy bacon and the bread was buttery and toasted. My fries were awesome. Husband liked his sandwich but wished he'd gotten fries instead of potatoes. The fries were better. Note to owner. Get your social media together and update that stuff.

Sorry we didn't take pics. We enjoyed it overall...started with the loaded fries with pulled chicken, plenty of stuff to justify the loaded part and the flavor was great! The kids loved the Mac n cheese. Girl had the BBQ Mac N Cheese and the boy did his own with chicken and cheese crust, big bowls and they had some to take home..2 of us had the ribs. Great flavor, sauce was good, but sweet. I like it a bit more spicy, but definitely flavorful. Wife had the pulled pork sandwich, she was not a fan. Now I will say l tried it and liked it overall, wife was put off by some chunks of fat in the mix. All in all pretty sure anyone would have a good meal here. The waitress seemed to be a one person show, but they were not overly busy and service was quick...we saw another waitress appear as we were leaving. Atmosphere was great, beer selection top notch, and friendliness of the server was great.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with kid choices.

I was in the area for a Yelp event and since I hadn't eaten lunch yet, I stopped in to Rooster's. I hadn't done any research on the restaurant beforehand so had no expectations. Walked in and was immediately greeted and then seated at a table by the window. The staff were friendly and I love how bright and fresh the atmosphere in the restaurant is. I was told that at that current time, I could only rider from their brunch menu and two items were unavailable. There was no issue there as I wasn't planning on ordering either item. I settled on the brisket melt sandwich with fries. The fries were percale crispy and seasoned right. The brisket was good though it lacked some seasoning for me. Overall a great meal and definitely would dine here again.

The Black Beer'd was excellent and I enjoyed the brisket melt. Crispy fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy as advertised. We sat outside for our meal and the quieter end of Mass Avenue did not disappoint. We enjoyed our meals without disrupting traffic and we were able to enjoy the warm but mild weather.

We enjoyed Trivia. The Mac and Cheese taste like somebody boiled a cigarette in it. They did comp most of our meal, and the beer was good. May be back for trivia night.

I'm from out of town and was on the way to the Garage to grab dinner, saw this place while looking for parking and decided to make a quick change to eat here. The food was awesome, but Jackie our server was Amazing... As someone who has been in the restaurant business for almost 20 years I'm usually not impressed with the service I receive, Jackie is one the best servers I've ever had in my life. She was personable and helped us pick out the best things on the menu and took great care of us. Next time I'm in Indy I will be coming here and telling others I know they should eat here. Ask for Jackie, get whatever she tells you to get and sit back and be wow'd!!! Dad Bod sandwich and Brisket Melt did not disappoint!!!

They'd make a mint if they sold the BBQ sauce! Hint of cinnamon maybe? The food came hot to our table and did not disappoint. They were short staffed, but took care of it with a smile.

The food we got was great! It was a bit disappointing they were out of a lot of different foods fairly early in the day. But I know sometimes you can’t control when you get a shipment in so it wasn’t a big deal. Service was very attentive. Definitely recommend.
