Wife and I have been here several times. I always order a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel with a side of potatoes. We were there today for the first time in awhile and they have changed the sandwiches. Instead of a sausage patty, they now just add crumbled sausage to the eggs. An obvious decision to cut back on the serving of sausage. I would be surprised if there was even 2 ounces of sausage on this sandwich. My wife had the bacon sandwich for the first time and similar experience. A little undercooked bacon chopped and added to the eggs. The prices here do not warrant skimpimg on anything. Apparently there is new ownership destined to screw up what was a great little restaurant.

I visited Ruth's Cafe in 2022 and it is such a cute and bright Cafe. I had a Brie LT its like a BLT but with melted brie cheese and salad! It was a 10/10!!
Kid-friendliness: It is an open invite you children. While dining in there is so many amazing things to look at on the ceiling and walls and tables. I highly recommend you stop in.

Really wasn’t a fan of the atmosphere. New owner has changed some things and is much more pleasant.
I’ve been coming to Ruth’s at least monthly since 2014. (Spent a few years living in Florida in between) The service and staff have always been awesome. The items I’ve always ordered are the strawberry cheesecake pancake (amazing) and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy have consistently been the best I’ve ever had and I order them quite often and even make my own at home and nobody beats Ruth’s. That is until recently….I think the gravy recipe changed and maybe the sausage? They’re not even close to what they used to be and it’s a shame. Will have to order a different item or seek biscuits and gravy elsewhere I suppose! Sure hope they change it back some day.
Edit: I’ve updated to four stars based on the owner reply and the years of excellent biscuits and gravy I had! I did not inform the staff because I don’t like complaining about food to wait staff and definitely don’t want to be credited for something I ordered and ate most of. The recipe might not have changed but I think the owner is right in saying it is a consistency issue perhaps. I’ll be back to Ruth’s for other items.

Our server Sarah was pleasant, she was on top of refills and just great all around. We always LOVE the food and atmosphere.
My favorite breakfast spot in Indy. Love the brisket hash. The staff is exceptional, especially Kasey. She is joyful and efficient. I look forward to having breakfast there every Saturday morning.

Let me tell you about some good eats! This place is a really nice little hidden gem. Unassuming and tucked away in a strip mall, Ruth’s Cafe is worth the visit. Parking is a bit tight, especially at lunch time, but well worth stopping. I had the ham and cheese melt and it was delicious. I heard that their all day breakfast is good as well.

I always love Ruth’s Cafe! I love to support local restaurants, this one has unique plates and coffee mugs, no two are the same! Also love all the decor inside the restaurant. Our food was awesome & just the right portions. Sarah was our waitress and she was great!
