To the tennis playing gweilo complaining about racism: I love hearing entitled white people cry about "racism". Racism is institutional. You haven't ever experienced racism in the United States, whiteys. There is literally no systems of oppression in place against white people in particular. you had to walk a couple blocks down the road, boo hoo.
I like this place, and I'm white. This makes me think that it's just that the security guard thought you guys were assholes, and given the evidence, I'd say he called it!
Now, for my review: Good Honduran food, service was great, and folks were very nice and patient with my limited Spanish skills! I like this place.

Was playing tennis at Garfield Park with my aunt (55 years old), she was thirsty for a drink, so we went to the nearest place that sold drinks which was here. At the door, I was aggressively stopped by a security guard and asked to show ID along with my aunt. We presented our IDs and he proceeded to try to pat me down. I said no and my aunt told him we only wanted to buy water but the security guard said it was a private party happening and we wouldn't be able to enter. The blatant racism displayed was disgusting and I plan to report this further.. I discourage all people who don't stand for racism to enter this place. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR IN 2024! Do better!

Sabor Latino is an unsightly blight to Garfield Park. It is a dive bar where its patrons get sloppy drunk and drive home. As an establishment who makes no efforts to attract or be part of the Garfield Park community, it is regarded as a nuisance to most who live in the area. The food is greasy, overpriced, and a 4 out of 10, at best.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The waitresses are dressed like prostituites. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Very disrespectful women People selling drugs right at the tables.
