We get this once per year during GenCon while visiting Indy and it's an absolutely one of a kind and amazing restaurant. Can't wait till I'm back again.

I saw them listed in an article about fried chicken places, and when going through Indy, I thought I'd try it.

It's inside of a place called Chapati (I may have misspelled that). The chicken is crispy, and tasty but not anything better than any other quality chicken place.

The fried chicken is really good!

Super comfy place! The fried chicken there is personally, the best fried chicken I've ever had. It's quiet. Delicious, and super friendly staff. Fully recommended to anyone who loves crispy, juicy, freshly made fried chicken. The wait time for the food is a bit long, but it's because it's made fresh. Will be back here again for sure!

Shani’s Secret Chicken was absolutely amazing. I had a catering order for 40 people last weekend, and everyone couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was and how great the service was! Thank you for helping us have an awesome holiday party, Shani's. By the way, you should know that you have about 40 new customers coming your way, as they all want to visit Shani's in person now! Heard that it was the best chicken in Indiana. It is the best chicken in Indiana!

Took a little while to get my order, but was told upfront how long it would be and given frequent updates. I have no problem if things aren't perfect as long as they act like they are giving the best customer service possible.

Definitely worth the wait! Portion was small for the price. I would give 5 stars if the price was lower and wait wasn't so long.

In my opinion and experience.
We ordered takeout originally quoted 20 minutes. After 40 minutes we got our food, but were missing a whole meal. We took our order back inside which he then proceeded to argue that we got our whole order. After showing him what we did get.
We were quoted another 10-20 minute wait for the rest of our food.

Waste of time and money.
