Popular place. Great Sandwiches and homestyle meals. Normally, I would go for the Rubin Sandwich, but this time tried their meatloaf with mac and cheese and spinach sides. Good choice. It is a cafeteria style restaurant and pretty busy so I would recommend checking out the menu before getting in line so you don't feel rushed.

Shapiro’s makes the best corned beef anywhere. We stop on our way to and from Wisconsin and Florida. The staff is so friendly, kind, and full of fun! Be sure to say hi to Whitney while you’re there!

I visited the Indy airport location at 10am on a Sunday. They were not serving breakfast sammies (my norm when I travel and advertised to serve until 10:30) and said they were only serving turkey sammies for lunch. We stepped down to Shake Shack. The entire time we were there, we saw a handful of people go through Shapiro's while Shake Shack and Starbucks were slammed! You might want to reevaluate your Sunday morning offerings!

Instead of listing the food $$ that have increased because of tariffs, maybe the staff should focus on serving food without mold on it. No joke. Pie had multiple specks of mold growing. Cashier seemed unperturbed by it. Been going there for decades. The original owners would be in shock to see what it has become. Not going back.

For a cafeteria style delicatessen, the food is good and service is excellent. The peppered beef sandwich is really good!

Shapiro’s is a wonderful American institution! One of the best places to get a sandwich or anything else related to deli believe me! I am here once a year from North Carolina and the experience is always 10 out of 10! Truly an Indianapolis treasure!

Way overpriced, food seemed really dry, the crust was hard. Deviled egg was very dry. Overrated.

They were very friendly and kind. When a large group of FFA students came in about closing time the employee smiled and said what a great group of kids they are and he's grateful for them because that's where his future food comes from. We will definitely be back.
