Cool bar. Nice people. Sound guy did a great job. My only complaint is the bartender used my change to self tip. Maybe thats normal but sure seemed odd. I paid for a beer and they out my change in the tip bucket without asking. Pretty presumptuous in my opinion. It was what I was going to tip, but it's the principle of the matter. If I go back, I definitely won't get anything more than the cover.

Amazing hidden gem. Perfect spot for the city’s sharpest musical talents. You will see some amazing music here.
The food menu is small but perfect, high quality American fare. Burgers, topped fries, they have a black bean that slaps for all the veg’n types, delicious. What more do you want?
Beer and wine only but this is definitely more of an “eat, have a few beers, and enjoy some real music” type of place rather than a SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS spot.
There are bands playing usually and they are loud but there’s a lovely patio/beer garden area for when you need a break. That said, the sound engineering is usually amazing. It’s loud but not so loud you can’t tell what going on, just appropriately loud for the type of act performing, and very clear. They hire talented sound people. They also usually have disposable ear plugs available.
So definitely swing through. Be sure to come early ‘n eat!

Great neighborhood bar! Great food! Word is, that it’s gotta dedicated vegan gluten-free deep fryer! I had some awesome food there. I love the chill vibe and and cool outdoor patio( with surprise kitten visits if you are lucky) everyone whom I talked to there, customers and the owners, were really cool. I can’t wait to go here again.

This is an industry gold spot y'all. The best smash burger in the city and I would go to war on that. They also have great veg options.
Two way license so beer, cider, and wine only but great options. Also some NA options.
Mark owns this little spot and to be honest they barely break even most of the time but he's committed to keeping it going so small local bands can get play time and grow. He is a commissioner of the arts and is doing this for the benefit of the community.
So if you go, be nice, be patient, and just come with the right spirit. Community, music, and arts.

I’ve been frequenting the pub for 7 years and I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcomed in a bar. This establishment is the center of our music community, and serves as a temple of expression, freedom and love. Ice cold beer, perfect burgers and beautiful people are always present.
