Has made some serious changes over the years. Not all bad, not all good. There are no waitstaff. Kiosk order. Very simple. Lost its appeal. On a good note, fries are still the same.

I’ve visited this specific steak n shake location for over 30 years. The service was off and on for a long time. It had a run, as most steak and shakes did at the time, where it was the worst service imaginable. I would drive by a sign in the drive thru that said “we cook your food fresh to order” on my 25 min wait to pick up cold french fries.
Over the past few years this location has seen such drastic improvements. The service is always fast, the people friendly, and the food hot and delicious. Big thumbs up to whoever currently owns this location.

Best steak and shake location in Indy I’ve been too since living over in the fall creek area back in August 2024 . I’ve had this location multiple times and they are always polite , food is always fresh and hot, the workers actually like their job. The bathrooms are always clean . Everything top shape !! Keep up the good work..

First time back in a Steak n Shake in a loooong time, and we had a great experience! Inside was very clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Food came out quickly and was classical delicious. Will be coming back!

Sign of the Times: You place your own order onto screen and pay for it. There's a sign "Wait to be seated" not "Seat yourself " you receive a sticker for your drink, only if it's a combo. No one takes your order, but after your total calculate, it allows you to leave a tip, my thoughts Whom do I tip: The cooks the lady that mop the floor or the drive-thru person. Signed Confused

Asked the store to make a strawberry and banana shake. They responded with they cannot mix flavors but on the menu they had add-ons for $.79. This only applied to specialty shakes when I have had them mixed before.The drive thru was rushing so I just said strawberry. I then called my wife to explain the situation which she wanted a birthday cake so I told them before I payed that I’d like to switch the strawberry to birthday cake. The guy working took my payment and then came back and said “ my managers being shitty and saying you have to go through the drive through and just say you want birthday cake” i said let me talk to him then. He went to tell him and he refused then gave me the birthday cake shake. This dude acts like a child because he works in a fast food service industry and gets asked to complete a simple task.

It use to be a fun place. Now. There are no servers. Just that stupid Keosk. Senior citizens have a hard time with it. We are 80 years old and won't be going here much anymore

I have not been to a steak and shake in a very long time. They closed the ones in Michigan near me . How wonderful this visit was. Food was great. service was wonderful. The restaurant was extremely clean and the wash room was one of the cleanest. I love this restaurant.

Food was good and fresh but the atmosphere and energy from the workers was very much less than par. One Hispanic woman was quite rude when asked for lettuce and tomato and pickles for my fiancé’s food. Like it was such a big issue to throw some In a basket. No smiles nothing friendly what so ever. I hope today was just a bad day. But if you hate it this bad then find a new career friend.
