50/50 on service. Sometimes it’s quick, other times they struggle and lose half the numbers
Last time
I got there at the beginning of half time and still lost a quarter of the fever game

Recently visited the steak and shake by gainsbridge fieldhouse AFTER looking up hours and reviews. This is a corporate office. They DO NOT serve food from the location by the Pacers’ arena… very misleading… wish they had signage or something to indicate it’s different from every other location with its logo

The shake bar by steak and shake has very terrible service. The last 4 digits were mentioned but I did not understand that they would omit the rest. I went over to ask if my number was correct but the server proceeded to yell at the other servers about what was wrong with me in my face after pushing it over to me. Do not patronize terrible service. Not for $12 shakes.

They constantly forget items in my order, especially when I order online, and they make my orders wrong. When I try to contact them to get a refund or get my missing food items, they never seem to answer the phone. Very disappointing since I love Steak n’ Shake :(

I recently visited Steak 'n Shake and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. The food was excessively greasy and practically inedible, far from what I expected. The shakes, usually a highlight, were surprisingly bland and lacked the flavor this place is known for.
To make matters worse, the staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves in the back than on greeting or assisting customers. This lack of attentiveness only added to an already disheartening visit. Sadly, this experience didn’t meet expectations at all, and I hope improvements are made soon. I however will not be coming back.

Fella mapping the floors was was making sure no one sat down at certain tables and kicking people out 5 minutes after they sat down because he wanted to leave early

Vegetarian options: They provide vegetarian options. Not my liking so I can’t say too much on this.
Parking: Parking in parking garages all around. Expensive
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly indeed. Steak and shake has always been kid friendly and even this spot right in the middle of downtown Indianapolis. Nothing dangerous for kids in there.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yup works for those in need.

Order via kiosk. Get called to get food from counter. Clean up after self. No condiments on table. AND AT THE END OF PLACING ORDER ON KIOSK THEY ASK FOR A TIP!!Hope they don't think I am coming back.

Got my first bj behind the dumpster here. Holds a special place in my heart
The order yourself kiosks' card readers didn't worka and there were no signs saying so, and the employees knew it but didn't say anything. Ordered at the counter for dine-in, waited 15 minutes, got a to-go bag of cold food, and no fries.
Great shakes and the garlic burger is perfect
Paper straws have ruined a really good milkshake. Nothing like the taste of wet paper in your mouth.
Stop hiring just any warm body to work your stores. Clean, friendly workers are what keeps people coming back. We went to Cracker Barrell today and saw how real wait staff works. Steak N Shake have people working that seem to not care to even be working!
