I'm always down with going to a Sun King. Their beers and cocktails are always delicious, menus solid, and service smooth. This location is wide and open, with lots of large tables that are perfect for groups. They also have a big, free parking lot. We were immediately sat and our server was so kind. He brought over waters for everyone before anyone ordered, which really showed that he was going out of his way to help us. Shout out to him! My favorite drinks here are the Pachanga lager, cream ale, and their yuzu sour (it's amazing). However, this time I opted for food. They have local chef Neal Brown's burger concept operating out of the kitchen and I'm so happy about it. I'd describe their burgers as "diner-style, but with quality ingredients." It's exactly the burger that you crave. They have good fries as well. We'll be back for sure!

Glad Sun King took over after Three Wise Men left as this a really good place to dine as it has good indoor space and outdoor dining. Parking is also very easy. Good timing too as One Trick Pony is there now to serve grub/burgers. As for starters, we had the orange vanilla ale and the ring of dingle Irish stout. The former was really good, that after taste it leaves was satisying. The latter was good and creamy. Main course: I got the Two Eyed Susan and it was enjoyable. Never had this kind before (only seen it on movies). I might ask next time if they do 3 Eyed Susan as I really enjoyed it. Wifey had the Old John single and Three Way fries, both were good as they the fries were topped with chili. Will definitely come back here on a warm weather for outdoor dining brunch.

Great beer/food/atmosphere. The Oklahoma Onion smash burger is the best smash burger I've ever had. Perfect spot to pregame before a Vogue Theater show.

Beer was great! The smash burger and onion rings stole the show though! Hands down the best I have had. Double Razorback, add hockey puck and jalapenos!

Great service, drinks, food, andatmosphere. I used to frequent this location back when it was Three Wise Men and I'm glad it remains as a beer hall. I'm especially glad a local legend like Sun King took over. The only downer was the variety of food on the menu. It was just burgers and brunch today.

This Sun King here in broad ripple is a recent favorite and perfect addition. The beers have been delicious and plentiful, staff is always very polite, One Trick Pony is the excellent burger spot that serves the food there, and does a perfect smash burger, and classic fries. One of the best ive had in ripple, do yourself the favor and scoop a burger and a banana mocha slushie. Slushies are pretty strong too!

I can practically see this location from my back porch, but hadn't had a chance to get over here since Sun King took over. It's a bit hard to review as I feel like everyone in the Indy area's already familiar with Sun King's beer. If not, well, it's darn good beer. The service here was good, too. And I was happy to find them making smash burgers with Impossible meat! I fell in love with Oklahoma Onion burgers after falling down a YouTube rabbit hole checking them out a few months back. At home, I make them with Impossible or Beyond meat as I don't really eat mammals. I never thought I'd get to have that in a restaurant, though. And here they were. And they were good. The bun should have been steamed over the onions, but other than that they got it right. Pretty much the only food they have are smash burgers (most with real meat). So if that's not your thing and you want to eat, I'd suggest elsewhere. Or maybe you should just make it your thing. You're gonna love a good Oklahoma Onion burger, I promise!

We previously went to Sun King in Broad Ripple quite a bit last year and before and loved it. The menu was fantastic and the dog friendly outdoor seating was perfect! However we went recently (about two weeks or so ago) and it wasn't the same unfortunately. They scrapped the menu down to pretty much one item, and unfortunately, the burgers weren't the best. The beer is great, as always, but we're going to have to stick with two stars for now. Really hope they bring the menu back though! We will absolutely return if they do.

Watermelon cream ale is surprisingly delicious. It's not as sweet as the orange vanilla. Light and refreshing - perfect for summer patio drinking.

Dinner and beers last night was a satisfying way to end a rainy day. Friday night growler fill deal was an extra bonus. The Oklahoma burger and the two patty "house" burger were prepared just the way we like them + an order of cheese fries to share. East dinner sitting at the bar.

Amazing drinks and burgers!! Food came out fast & was piping hot, smart choice on the limited menu. They even offer plant based options if you prefer. Friendly service and overall amazing experience.

Biggest mistake they could have made doing the One Trick Pony menu. The food used to be amazing. Not good burgers at all tasted like Sonic, and the fries were frozen not even fresh cut and canned cheese sauce….drinks even tasted bad... Very disappointed !!!!

I want to preface this by saying that I have never left a bad review -- especially on a locally owned business, but my experience at Sun King was less than stellar. I was SO excited to go to Sun King yesterday and have a good drink and grab a bite to eat after a long week. Initially, I was wanting to sit in the outdoor seating but it was full. No big deal! We opted for a table inside near a window so we could look out into Broad Ripple Ave. It was pretty busy inside, so we patiently waited for a server to come and help us out. After sitting there for around 10 minutes, I started to feel a little confused as to why we weren't being helped. I looked around and noticed that other people who came in after us were being escorted to their tables, getting water, and having their drink and food orders taken. Meanwhile, not a single staff member had stopped at our table to wait on us or even ask if someone had helped us. After looking around, I noticed that my group comprised the only non-white customers in the establishment. Now, this isn't to say that Sun King is racist, but just to say that the service we received seemed to be vastly different from other customers who were being greeted at their tables, had their orders taken, and did not have staff consistently walking past them and not waiting on them. After waiting for between 15-20 minutes to be noticed, we left without ever being waited on or having our drink orders taken. I've ordered One Trick Pony from this location on multiple occasions. It's honestly one of my favorite burger spots. Truthfully, this experience has made me question if I even want to go back at all. I'm bummed that I feel compelled to write this review and disappointed all together
