Can I give it 10 stars? Because I would if I could!! Breakfast is delicious here. So far, I have tried, big boy, country fried steak, ranchero skillet, strawberry nutella crepes, and el fuego omlette. They are all tasty. Place is clean, servers are kind and service is fast. Highly recommend!!

I came to this restaurant on a google search. The ratings are great. My experience was quite different. We arrived at 8:42am and was promptly seated. The restaurant was fairly empty 4 people by the bar and 4 people on the floor. At 8:55am we left because not a return by anyone in the restaurant to take our order, not a glass of water nor a cup of coffee. We sat in a fairly empty restaurant with a ton of staff and no service. I won’t say it but some will get it.
Breakfast at Sunshine Breakfast House & Grill (5116 W 38th St)
My wife and I decided to try something new today and headed west after hearing good things about Sunshine Breakfast House & Grill. It’s tucked just off the north side of 38th Street—easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.
I ordered the Meat Lover’s Omelette—bacon, sausage, ham, and cheese. It came with hash browns, and I added toast and two extra strips of bacon. Coffee was hot and solid. I also ordered orange juice, but it never came—forgot about it until now.
My wife went off-menu and built her own plate: scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, hash browns, wheat toast, and pancakes. No complaints—she enjoyed it all.
The food? Really good. My omelette was stuffed and full of flavor. They’ve got a big menu that mixes American and Mexican breakfast and lunch options, so there’s a lot to explore.
The place is clean and comfortable, with cozy booths, standard tables, and a bar area that mirrors the main dining room. Service was friendly and quick, though the language barrier made some things a little bumpy. Nothing major, just something to note.
Bottom line: Solid breakfast spot. Big portions, clean space, good food. I’d come back if I’m in the area and hungry.
