Is this under new management? I used to frequent this restaurant and loved it. Went there recently and totally different place food was meh 14.00 for a waffle. The staff seemed super uninterested in working and the damn maroon cd playing same few songs. Super sad. Website also was no longer working so seems new owners or just went down hill.
So sad this used to be my favorite spot. I used to always get the truffle toast and pasta salad. Pasta salad was just gross as can be . Truffle toast was below sub par . Idk what happened to this place
The service was slow, the girl taking our order didn't seem interested in working at all. While there were others waiting in line another girl working was sitting at the end of the bar on her phone and never helped. The breakfast sandwich was just ok but the fruit plate that came with it was worthless. Chopped up strawberries with the green stem still attached just shows how lazy the workers here are.
Updated Review 6/14/19, 3*: This place has started to decline. The pricing is still expensive but the quality of the food is starting to go downhill. It takes much longer to get food now and the place is not as clean.
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be going back.
What happened? Is my question.
Owner is extremely friendly. The food is amazing! You must eat here!
Our food took a very long time even though the restaurant was not busy. Then, once the food finally came, they were out of clean forks so our server "had to go wash some" and she was clearly very unhappy about it. That meant we had to wait even longer to eat our food. The food was not good- it had an odd, grey color and no taste.
my first visit here was great my second visit not so much. the egg sandwich is listed as having spinach sun dried tomatoes on a roll. instead it was field greens regular tomatoes on what tasted like a hamburger bun. highly disappointed and a waste of $20.
Was pretty disappointed in my most recent visit. Front of house staff was not as friendly as I remembered, the food took nearly 90 minutes to make its way to our table (3 relatively simple entrees) and the dining area generally felt a little neglected. The food was pretty good, however. The deep dish strata was great. I hope our trip was an aberration as this used to be a go-to weekend spot.

The food was delicious! You could taste the fresh ingredients in every bite. The woman working the register was very welcoming and sweet. The veggie sandwich (pictured) was awesome. We will definitely be going back.
Took a walk here a couple months ago and it was complete chaos. We sat at the counter and watched the understaffed restaurant scramble to even keep silverware and coffee available at the self serve kiosk in the dining area. One employee was complaining that she didn't have time to even pour herself a cup of water and there were 2 people who came in to pick up online orders that weren't even rung into the system until they got there. The egg sandwich I ordered was ok and the key lime dessert I ordered tasted like oil. Not sure what happened to this place but I do not recommend.
The service has become awful, the food is now just average, over priced, they don't stock their silverware, water, or coffee at the station. Your order will often come out wrong even though they rarely have other customers to keep up with. So disappointing because this used to be one of the best places for brunch.
What happened to Taste? We haven't been in years and went back today to take family and it was awful. The first alarming sign was that it was empty, the place used to be so full we would sometimes have to leave, my husband's BALT had one piece of undercooked bacon, my chicken salad came out on a baguette that was harder than a rock, my father-in-laws sausage was pink and not cooked - took an extra 15 minutes for it to be replaced and we were all done eating, the fresh water pitchers were empty (and dirty), and not a single staff member smiled or welcomed us in. Such a bummer!
This place is very fancy indeed. It has gourmet dishes that are very good. The service there is not so bad. Sometimes it will get to full though. The employees there are very nice and caring. It can sometimes get loud in the kitchen and that bothered me. They argue a bit too much as well. But besides all that its all right!
