Our server and the bartender were both excellent. Someone in our party didn't like something they ordered and they immediately swapped it for her and the replacement meal she loved. Customer service there was amazing.

I love eating here because they can handle big groups and the food is always good. The only downside is they are now charging 3% for credit cards. I didn't know this or I would have told my group to bring cash. Otherwise a great weekday lunch!

Was in town for work. We arrived a few minutes early and was informed we could get our table when ever we wanted. Had a few drinks at the bar then proceeded upstairs. Our server Ruby was fantastic! She was very attentive and made us feel welcome. The food flavors were great as well. We ordered the wings as a appetizer and would recommend. Defiantly some unique flavors with just a hint of spice. The group ordered a wide variety of dishes for dinner and every one enjoyed their meal with no complaints. There were a few small groups upstairs and the food wait was reasonable. Will definitely be back next year when we are in town.

I met two friends at Tavern on South last night for drinks & dinner. Our server Brittany was excellent. She was attentive checking in on us periodically, brought our drinks & food timely, and got our orders accurate. Two of us had mahi mahi tacos which, while small portions, were delicious. The buffalo chicken dip was tasty with a big kick. Overall, we had a pleasant meal in a good atmosphere. Also love that this is essentially downtown with free parking, so an easy place to meet friends. Sadly they don't have a happy hour, but they do have a couple daily drink specials. Will be going back again.

My lovely wife and I chose to spend our Valentine's Day at your establishment as first-time visitors, & we were not disappointed! You're conveniently located, offer free & ample parking, & offer a quaint, 2-floor dining room experience. We had reservations for 7 & arrived early, fully expecting to sit at the bar & wait until it was time to be seated. Instead, however, we were greeted warmly and taken to our table upstairs. Everything else was excellent-The atmosphere, our drinks, our food, including the delicious strawberry shortcake we shared was on point, along with our server! We will be back!

We came on the day a concert is happening, so it’s understandable seating took about 40 minutes, but after that, it’s been almost an hour 20 and we only have one of 4 dishes (and only because they made a mistake). Food taste is okish, the staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people.
I recently attended a conference in Indianapolis. The first night we walked a few blocks to Tavern on South because of its great Google reviews. We loved it! Everyone was nice and the food was yummy. The receipt says our server’s name is Turquoise. I know she said to just call her by her initials or something like that (I’m sorry I forget) but I want to mention her in my comment because she was awesome at asking us what our food preferences are and making suggestions from their menu.

More of a restaurant than a sports bar, they're more upscale but not expensive. There are several TVs around the restaurant and bar areas. We are here shortly after arriving at our hotel down the alley. While the bar was full, there was still plenty of seating in the dining areas. The hostess found us a spot where he could see the game(s) after several attempts. Didn't order any drinks even though they had some good specials going on. I ordered the cowboy burger and he got the Chicken sandwich. My burger was cooked to order, juicy and really good. It was big too, I couldn't finish it. I only wished they had candied the jalapenos instead of the bacon. He liked his chicken sandwich, no complaints whatsoever so A+ there. Our server was pleasant and attentive, even when it got busy as the night went on.
Parking: There's free parking when it's not game day

Was very disappointed. Went there on a Friday night before a concert. Food was good, server was good but had a very bad experience after. Our concert started at 8 but got cancelled at the last minute. Went back to Tavern On South and thought we would have a few more drinks. Got back there about 8:05 (it indicates they close at 9) and they would not let us sit down. We explained we had been there earlier, had already eaten, only wanted to have another drink and they repeated that they were closing. Also pointed out that they close at 9 and were again, very rudely, told they wouldn't let us in because they were closing. Again, very disappointed

We ate here based on the fact it was right by the hotel. The atmosphere and decor was nice with a nice bar and TVs all around to see the sports games and the menu options were good. The food was amazing! I had the smoked wings, my son had the pulled pork with kettle chips and my husband the mahi tacos. We all loved our dishes! Our server was a little scarce seemed like maybe he had too many tables but he was nice and got everything we wanted. I would recommend the restaurant!
