We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated after a small wait time. After waiting 40 minutes at our table with zero server engagement, we just left. I even had to ask for water to the table after the first 20 minutes. At that point we ordered coffee but none arrived and there was clearly no one working on our order at the espresso machine. That’s when we decided to leave.
Not sure what is going on since we’ve attended this restaurant before and had a great experience. Ended up being a waste of a beautiful morning- I have never written a bad review like this but I also have never had to leave a restaurant like that after nearly an hour.
The food was awesome and the desserts/pastries were out of this world. Almost to beautiful to eat!

Horrible food and I mean HORRIBLE. The croissant and gravy was inedible and tasted like the just dumped bacon grease and salt into a pot. Nice of the staff to sit in the kitchen on their phone the entire time I was there as well barely checking on customers. This place sucks.

Always check the most recent reviews! We'd been hearing great things and decided to try it for Brunch. The food service took too long and the glasses tasted like the Sanitizer wasn't mixed properly. We over heard a conversation about being short staffed due to "The Pay issue" I don't know what that is but, fancy ambiance and hipster attitude don't cut it.

I was disappointed to find their fries are just crinkle cut now (which to me, says frozen from a bag). They were crispy and fine but crinkle cut are bottom tier in my opinion and I remember them having super awesome fries in the past. If I'm paying $17 for a burger and fries- I'm expecting everything to be great and high quality. The burger was good, just not $17 good. Also good the fork and knife roll which was super disappointing for $13. I was expecting it to be huge with that name and price. It was good, but I was expecting something warmer, gooier, and bigger. This was just a crescent cinnamon roll, nothing special. We also were put in a tiny little table shoved in the corner, the people next to us were clearly uncomfortable when we sat down because we were practically on top of them. And they were out of hot beverages/coffee which was sort of odd. Just a super average experience. Probably won't be back.

out of coffee, no hashbrowns, no orange juice, no lattes, no expresso pods... had a hard time actually ordering anything
Had a pretty good brunch burger there, it was to come with frites the menu stated. No, sadly it came with the cheapest and not warm crinkle cut fries. Parsley was sprinkled on the fries so you got that. There is no draft beer available, the excuse made zero sense. I don’t see that changing soon. Maybe it’s just a brunch place as it was nearly empty last night.

Health hazards like not having hot water for weeks at a time. Not paying employees correctly. No dating of food products. Kitchen equipment like refrigerators don’t work correctly and don’t receive repairs in a timely manner. Could go on and on about the negatives of this place!

My boyfriend and I chose Gallery Pastry Shop to celebrate our one-year anniversary, having enjoyed many meals there in the past. Unfortunately, our recent visits have shown a troubling decline in service, and this visit was no exception.
We were excited to sit on the patio but waited over 10 minutes without even a greeting or water. After alerting the host, it took another 2 to 5 minutes to finally be attended to. We were informed they were out of espresso—something that would have been helpful to know much earlier before anticipating lattes for the past 15 minutes.
As someone who works in the service industry, I understand that items can run out, but the lack of communication and attentiveness was disappointing. The food at Gallery Pastry Shop is still great, but with this level of service, we’re reconsidering returning. It was not the anniversary experience we had hoped for.

I booked a reservation for my brother and sister in law and for their anniversary. They are in town for a concert. The service was terrible. Our waitress left us waiting for a long time. However Tony the food and beverage director made it right. He comped our meal and apologized. He said they were short staffed and had a lot of call ins. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was wonderful and Tony really came through with the service after a not so great experience to start. I live in Indy and this is one of my favorite places to eat. Tony, really came through and made the experience what it should be. That man deserves a raise. Thank you Tony!

This is a hip cute place, perfect for a date. The food is really good and unique as well! Get the pork belly Benedict- I never had it with pork belly before and it was so tender and smoky! The macarons were also very soft and creamy. Some of the best macarons I’ve ever had!
