I made a reservation and showed up at the scheduled time but the restaurant was closed for a private party.

e booked our reservations for The Hulman through OpenTable for a Mother's Day brunch. One of the selling points for The Hulman was the bouquet making that was offered as part of tue Mother's Day experience that we reserved. The cost was $45/adult and $20/child which included a breakfast buffet and the bouquet making experience. We arrived and made our way through the hotel to the restaurant's hots stand. We gave our name for reservations and were sat. Upon being sat, we were immediately told that the buffet was $50/person. I asked even for children, since we were dining with our children, and she stated she thought it was $25/child, although our son is only two. We were asked if we'd like anything to drink besides water but didn't have any menus to see drink options, so waited until we had a menu to decide. My husband and I both ordered Prosecco, then we proceeded to the buffet to make our plates. Our drinks arrived almost immediately after we sat down, and within minutes of starting in our plates, our server brought out our check. We hadn't even been in the restaurant for 15 minutes. We saw on the check we had been charged $50/adult and $25 for both of our children, even the two year old, but knew we would address the discrepancy once ready to settle our bill. Halfway through our meal, our server came again and asked if we were ready to settle our bill. Our reservation began at 11am, check initially dropped at 11:12, and asked if we were ready to check out, with plates and drinks still full at 11:34. When we were finally finished with our meal, we then had to flag our server down to get the bill to match the reservations that we had set. We didn't have an issue with them fixing the billing but when it came time to do the bouquets, we also had to ask them wait around for whoever was in charge of that experience. This was our first and will be our only dining experience with The Hulman. It felt rushed, and chaotic instead of light and easy.

I had a wonderful dinner experience here. The drinks and food were very good, and the service was excellent!

Bloody Mary's were good. Food and service were excellent. My second time there and it was just as good as before.

This was the 3rd or 4th time we've gone to the Hulman for dinner. We were somewhat disappointed in the scaled back dinner menu. In fact, the menu on the web page offered a Salmon dish but when we went to the restaurant it was no longer available. The wine and the service via Jamie were excellent.

Dined today (Valentines Day 2025). Very professional and respectful valet and host/hostesses. Initial ambiance was great, although the tables were a little too close for my liking. Server was nice, however, after asking for a little more time with the menu, disappeared for 30 minutes. Not sure why, but she gave my date and I a normal menu (our table only), without requesting it (valentine's dinner menu was more expensive, and I am younger than most guests). The bread they serve is room temperature, and the butter is cold. However, the appetizers and entrees were amazing. Decided to skip dessert because of the service. Overall, great place for a date, just beware of the cautionary signs in this review.

Excellent service. One of the burgers we ordered didn't come out as ordered and they very addressed without us asking and very quickly.

I worked with the manager for MONTHS to plan a private birthday dinner for my boyfriend and his brother. We had 10 total and she was amazing every step of the way, they even customized the menus for us. The staff was also amazing that served us Saturday night. Can’t recommend enough.

The restaurant is very nicely set up and is aesthetically pleasing. Went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we were accommodated nicely. The food and the drinks (not pictures) were good. The server was helpfully and recommended things accordingly. I will have to go back and try more options.

The crispy Brussels and steak frites were excellent. The Farmer's Market Bowl was just average. The mixed berry panne cotta was a good shareable dessert. Our server was distracted and that impacted the quality of our service. The menu is so limited and we knew that going in. I concede my expectations may have been way too high. We left disappointed.

We arrived shortly after opening and were the second and third patrons present. Our server was the sweetest who warmly greeted us and attended tonis during our brunch. We wanted to sir outside for the full Indianapolis experience, which we got, but the tables were not prepared for outdoor seating on a beautiful day. The food was good and the portions were generous. The prices was equally expensive as the establishment and fair considering. Good experience.

We made reservations and, at the last minute, added two more. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Some comments on the food - "This is the best hamburger I have ever eaten." and "I have never had a grilled chicken sandwich that good." We will definitely go back next time we are in Indianapolis.
