If I could give this zero stars , I would . I'm visiting indiana for the first time and I wanted to eat some nigerian food , I entered the building the whole aesthetic looked broken down , I placed my order , the front desk told me 17 minutes wait time , ended up waiting 45 minutes. When I eventually opened the two plates of jollof rice , it was so small and the taste was horrible like frozen rice that was reheated ,how does someone mess up jollof rice . The egusi looked like poop in lots of water. A waste of my $60

Disgracefully hit or miss… when it miss I promise you’re never gonna wanna go back. I tried them years ago and just now coming back, today I realized why I stopped: If it smells bad when you walk in just go ahead and turn around it’s gonna be a miss. Portions and quality vary significantly prices don’t. Just gave me a completely spoiled meal, like it’s rotten not edible at all.

I've been to this place twice in the couple past years. Once because my friend ordered food and I picked it up for them. I looked at the receipt when I paid and they charge a 9% Indiana tax on top of the 7%??? State sales tax is 7% with an additional 2% on food and beverage so I don't get that. If you're going to charge the food and beverage tax on top of the sales tax then there shouldn't be 2 different sales tax. It should only be 9%. Weird but whatever.

Last summer was the second time I went. I ordered pick up on a Friday night. We got to the place and the door was locked. We had to knock multiple times and call multiples times before someone opened up for us. And when we walked in we saw two guys standing on tables playing the Xbox or PS on the tv. Standing on the tables people eat on to play video games is diabolical. The jollof/chicken I ordered was the worst jollof and chicken I've ever eaten.

This place is a literal joke idk how they have 4 stars when it's so unprofessional and the food is the worst. Small portions with high prices. Take your money elsewhere for better Nigerian food.

Wrote this review because they cheated my friend with the portion and false advertisement of what the food would look like today.

Ordered ayamase and rice. The sauce they claimed was ayamase sauce shouldn’t be classified as ayamase sauce. It didn’t have palm oil, blended crayfish and locust beans. Please get some that can cook Nigerian local sauce. I’ll won’t be coming back!

Quaint location. The table setting is best suitable for appetizers or finger food. The food was good. The best dish, the moi moi. The red stew has a mild level of heat and the flavors were okay. The protein portion is suitable for the price. We both selected the fish and we both received a 1/4 pound of fish. It was still delectable. The jollof rice had all the familiar flavors. It would have brought the flavor profile to the next level if there was some heat. The server was friendly and courteous. The puff puff was good with mild sweetness. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Parking: Parking lot is behind the building, there is no lighting. Best option to park on the front of the building.

Used to be my favorite spot, but the quality has just gone down so much it’s not worth the prices. I miss who ever used to cook there no way it’s the same, or maybe they’re just not caring? Look up the most recent reviews they’re either all 5 star or 1 star. When he most recent reviews from everyone is a lot of the time negative something changed. The owner accusing everyone of lying but it’s just honesty. I’ve been here probably 20 times over the past 3 years. Unfortunate I hope they go back to their old ways.

My favorite was the jollof with chicken. I loved this place so much I learned how to make it at home. Maybe one day I’ll try again but for now avoid this place go somewhere else.

I was very disappointed in the Jollof Buka establishment. We had to wait 30 minutes just to be acknowledged and it smelled like weed in the entire restaurant, which wasn't kid-friendly. There were multiple people hanging out who weren't customers. It had an unprofessional vibe overall, and I would never recommend it to anyone looking for good African food. They were very unprofessional the owner needs to upgrade all aspects.

Spicy food warning! I dined in at their location once and the waitress was extremely nice and answered many of our questions. The food was all good. I ordered online today but the food was extremely spicy for my tastes, I can’t eat any of that and had to throw them away. I guess just be careful and state your spicy tolerance level when ordering from here.

Used to be my go to spot. I grew up in west Africa so I always kind of overlooked the missed items/ small portions/weird vibe/ prices etc bcz I was just happy this place was open. But Im done. I’ll just cook at home or go elsewhere. Supporting a small business isn’t worth the hassle. The girl at the front is really nice. The art on the walls is cool. But they don’t care abt customer loyalty or try to make things right when they mess up an order.

I had this numerous times before the best Nigerian restaurant I have found since I moved here. The last couple of times my meat has been tough so I took a chance today and ordered my usual the Egusi soup, FuFu and beef and my meat again is extremely tough to where I can’t even bite it. I probably have to take my kitchen scissors to cut it but I shouldn’t have to do all of that. I’m very disappointed

I always get the same thing everytime I come and I ordered it this one specific time and the meat was very burnt and it was really disappointing I couldn’t even eat it I was so upset I haven’t been back since ordered this meal on a Saturday

Edit: thank you very much for the response I’m satisfied. I love this restaurant so much I eat it every week it was just this one time it wasn’t right.
