On our hunt for the best Indy brewery, we decided to check out Koelschip which serves Central State Brewery's beer. They had about eight beers on tap from CSB as well as other guest drafts from around Indy. We each got a flight with four different CSB beers and one guest beer. Our favorite overall CSB beer was the Sports TV which is an IPA. Overall we thought the beer was unique but wasn't top notch. The overall vibe of the shop was rustic eclectic, almost as if it were thrown together quickly.

Stopped by for an afternoon drink. It's a small bar that offers a variety of beer and cocktails. There's bar seating, table seating, and a small outdoor area to enjoy on a nice day. I ordered a spritzer since I wanted something light and refreshing. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about local beers.

If you are a beer lover and haven't been here... shame on you! Central State Brewing is one of the best brewers here in Indy and always has unique and new beers on tap. There are also some guest taps to spice things up. I've been a handful of times and each time the service is great... the beer is delicious... and I leave extremely satisfied. I will say the take-home beer is a bit pricey, but again it's delicious so I understand. There's also the added bonus of being right next to Goose the Market. At the end of the day, if you are looking for a couple delightful beers that are pretty different than anything else in the city, the Koelschip is for you!

Really interesting place to stop in for a few delicious beers! They have all of the central state beers on tap, as well as more local options! I loved the variety of sours available, and our bartender was very nice and helpful! We loved the set up as well as the decorations!

Eh. I don't know what all the hype is about in these reviews unless I am totally missing something. My beers were average at best. The vibe is decent. I expected cool hipster decor and a trendy look and feel, which would probably bump this place up a star for me. But nah, it looks like little effort was put into the decorations and look. I was so excited to try this place and left thinking I probably won't go back. But maybe I am missing something because everyone else seems to think it's hype af.

So I live in this area and never knew this place was here but it's right next to a little market/wine shop that we love. Went there on a Monday night for a drink with some friends. It was relatively quiet but was a cool space. They serve the beer in wine glasses which I liked! Had some different flavors of beers including sours which again I like. Wasn't a huge menu. They advertised wine on the window outside but I never saw a menu. Don't think there was any food but again right by a market that you can order sandwiches at so probably could bring food over. Overall not a bad little bar, I would try it again.
