Boring hotel restaurant/bar. Barkeep/server was nice but easily distracted. Never any sports on, jeopardy and nighttime dramas. Dining area only open for breakfast

As a world traveler, I've been to numerous Crown Plaza hotels. They are know for their higher standards of luxury to meet higher customer expectations. I've had visiting the Indianapolis Intl Airport Crown Plaza on my list of places to visit, especially The Landing Restaurant. Covid restrictions have put a serious damper on getting out in the area to visit nice places to eat. Finally, I was in the right place at the right time to stop in for breakfast at The Landing. At the time of this visit the menu was Ala Carte, but they do run a buffet from time to time. I decided on the Breakfast Burrito, I know, sounds like a simple dish. When it arrived at the table, the plating was well laid out and appealing to the eye. On the plate were slices of orange and strawberry, great for cleaning the palet. The homefried potatoes were nicely cooked with a light crisping. The burrito was well stuffed with breakfast options and tightly rolled, then lightly toasted, very well put together! The salsa and sour cream sides were of high quality and complimented the dish well. It's obvious the chef is skilled and cares about how the food is going out of the kitchen. The staff were professional and friendly, the dining room clean, pleasant and comfy. I look forward to my lunch visit!

Staying here for the weekend and decided to get breakfast before heading to track. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress, Ashley, was very kind and pleasant and didn't make us wait long. Will be eating here again next time I stay here.

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries to take back to my hotel room and it was delicious. Fries were nicely cooked too. I would order this again.

I ordered this dish from the bar and wax pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the shrimp. It was lightly breaded and had a spicy cocktail sauce made in the kitchen not from a jar. Overall the menu looked good and everyone ordering in the bar seemed pleased.

Decent but extremely over priced. Had to ask for everything like I was invisible : my entre, my salad, my appetizer, salt & pepper, water. OK, I was at a bar... Maybe 9 stools? But in a plush setting like the Crown Plaza, I expected better service. I have had much more efficient, observant bar tending in far more humble settings. Hand/eye coordination is key when serving. Everything should be delivered as if you were... Ugh... first? Not as an afterthought.

Average hotel bar, 4 taps, good selection of cans and liquors, nice bartender, can order restaurant service at the bar

Tried a Cuban sandwich on a whim and it was EXCELLENT!! It was made the way a traditional cubano should be! I loved every bite and the staff was very kind!!

Typical hotel bar/restaurant. Over priced food and drinks at less then average quality.

The hostess, waiter, and cook seem to really enjoy and excel at what they do. Although I overheard of a delay at the table next to ours, they quickly made it right by reducing the bill 25%. Ours was timely with excellent flavors. Chef made his special recipe Balsalmic dressing and then pesto sauce for the pasta (made upon request) with just the right touches. Not overpowering vinegar or garlic. Superb, in fact! Then the waiter surprised us with "the last piece" of German chocolate cake, which seemed a double or triple sized piece. Just the right moisture without too much fudge heaviness. Didn't need the calories but couldn't pass it up. The bill was ridiculously small, so I made up for it with a generous and deserved tip. Party of 3 totally happy.

I stayed here on 11/28 & had breakfast the next morning before I departed the hotel. Mary was my waitress and is very friendly! My breakfast was complementary thanks to my company and as a past server at a restaurant, I understand how hard it is to stay motivated to provide excellent service even though your guest isnt paying any out of pocket. Mary continues to do well, asking if Id like any more coffee or anything to take back to my room numerous times without going overboard. Great work! Only reason I didnt give 5 star is the bfast is pretty generic. No pancakes, no french toast. Service earned the 4 stars!
Cool place!
