I wasnt greeted when I walked in but I was greeted at the counter. Great customer service. The bathroom was clean. My food was made to order so it was a small wait. There were chairs available while I waited. I ordered two tacos and a tamale. I live 40m away so I wasnt able to eat the food hot but it was still good.

Do yourself a favor and go enjoy this place. The food’s excellent and a good value. The staff is friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking. I’ve been twice and will return! The “mayor of Flavortown” wasn’t lying!

pricing is crazy compared to Chicago. 5.50 for one tamale is extortion lol I can get 12 deliciosa authentic in east Chicago indiana for 12 dollars that's 1 dollar each. the elote doesn't taste as good as Chicago or Hammond area .... idk north west indiana chicanos and Chicago chicanos have my heart. sorry but this is my personal opinion. over priced and not authentic is no bueno . discúlpame.

Place to eat, the food is good. It's not overpriced, and the staff is friendly. Recommend them over qdoba or Chipotle any day of the week.

The 18 dollar torta was the worst I’ve had and I had really high expectations since a place can charge 18 for one. meat not seasoned just tasted like beef fat nothing else ordered 2 steak tacos the same no flavor just grease not worth the price at all. I like the tamales thought I’d like the other stuff I’ll stick to the tamales

The tamales are excellent! We always take them home to eat as the picnic tables aren't the most comfortable. Call ahead if there are specific flavors you want as you won't find all of the varieties all of the time. Highly recommend!!!

The restaurant is small but well worth the trip. I ordered the 1/2 pound tamale with chips and cheese dip. My husband got the nachos. He ordered the small portion and was glad he did because the portion is so generous. My friends got a tamale and a taco. We were all pleased with our food and service.
Loved this place for years! Owner is super sweet and hands-on to ensure happy customers. Food is always super fresh!

We make the trip to the Tamale place from the far Southside. Their salsa is so good. The Nachos are filling and so tasty. The tacos are full of flavor. And the Tamales are always good, no matter which kind I have.

Forever my favorite place in Indy. Hands down the best pork tacos on US soil. The chips are thick but the salsa is fresh. The manger has always been super friendly and treats me like family.
