The venue hosted my wife and I’s baby shower and it was a great experience from start to finish. Kayla was great, communication was consistent and the space provided everything we needed!

So I am super excited go to to this place. Never been. Sounds AWESOME, you know....the works. So there is a random guy at the door asking for $10 bucks(only cash) to get in....no Vanguard swag, shirt or nothing that says he works there. So I am completely thrown off and mention this to him. So my friend and I are sitting at a booth waiting for the "buffet" so we can eat. I'm starving because it's a all you can eat buffet so I purposely didn't eat much, right, thats what people do? So we are waiting and waiting and finally the "buffet" is open. There are wings (somewhat hard), mac & cheese (in a crock pot), a few vegetables with dip and I want to say that was it but I am sure I am missing one more thing. Yes I a disappointed. AND WE NEVER HAD A SERVER AT OUR TABLE. My friend went to the bar to get water. I tried to get my own pitcher but was helped (thank goodness) by the front door guy who was doing 17 roles. Very nice guy.Wait for it........there was a young group (barely 21) throwing back champagne like water. Yep.....one of the guys clowned leaving the place. Didn't want to leave his drink.....actually had a glass of mimosa ready to leave with it. He is arguing back and forth with the nice guy, like he wants to fight. Gulps the drink and drops the glass on tje ground where it shatters. Yep. I am in awe. I am trying to enjoy my brunch. So nope I will never go back to this place that could have been great. Nice venue but not great service.The D.J. was AWESOME.......loved it.

Really amazing time at the vanguard! Bottomless mimosas are great. First time visiting Indiana an love the atmosphere and the steak was amazing highly recommended.

Vanguard is becoming one of my fav restaurants in the city! The staff is friendly and attentive. Their drink specials are affordable and diverse. The bartender Scott is so quick and helpful! The food is delicious. You don't get a lot of food for the price but the quality of the food outweighs the quantity. Portion size is why this review only got 4 stars. Now don't get me wrong I'm not expecting an all you can eat buffet, but can I get two pieces of chicken w my chicken and waffles?! Sunday's are my fav time to go. From 2-6p they have The Brunction. Two DJs spinning a variety of music and that makes my heart happy. The space is inviting and lux. They have a full bar. The music they play is chill and low enough to have a great conversation with friends. I recommend you try the Vanguard at least once. Located just off the main strip in Broadripple above the Casba. Come enjoy some good food and a nice cocktail!
