Really love this place and happy to have it in Broad Ripple. It’s a bit pricey + the service is slow on the weekends because they only have one person working the floor (at least the 2 times I’ve been there). Will definitely keep supporting because they have great cocktails, atmosphere, and BR needs this type of bar. Plus….cocktails and coffee in one spot is always a win.

I came for my first time last weekend and our server Arianna was so great. She explained to us that they do coffee and cocktails all day. She also helped us decide what drinks we may like, I wanted to get a French 75 but she suggested that I try the French Martini and I loved it. She also said the Made Me Do It is her favorite drink so we got that with bourbon and it is now my boyfriend’s. It was very busy but the drinks were worth the wait. Overall the atmosphere was awesome. I will definitely come back to try the coffee and will come back on a night out as well.

Great spot for unique and rotating craft cocktails! Vibe is easy with great music, the two best bartenders are Elisabeth and Quinn. Never had a bad drink or time when these two are here

Was double charged for a drink bc the waitress couldn’t find my original tab with my one and only drink I ordered. When she could not find my tab, she created a new tab and swiped my card again for that drink. She told me she would close out the old tab and not charge me when she found it, but she charged my card a second time and added a second tip on top of that. Sent proof on Instagram to the manager and also called twice and left voicemails but never heard back. I’ll never come back here again. Not sure why it’s this hard to get ahold of someone/get my money back

Thieves has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere — I really enjoy the coffee, the design, and the vibe of the main space.
But I was very unsettled when I went into the bathroom labeled “Rated R / 18+.” I assumed it was a cheeky joke, but instead the walls were plastered with Playboy images. That caught me completely off guard.
As someone who lives with OCD-type symptoms and a very visual memory, seeing explicit imagery like that isn’t just a passing moment — it sticks with me and can be very triggering and caused me emotional distress for the night and the next day. It also disrupted what was supposed to be a fun date night with my boyfriend.
I could understand if the décor had been cheeky pin-up art, but full Playboy spreads felt out of step with the otherwise safe and inclusive vibe. If the intent was irony or retro humor, it didn’t come across that way.
I hope, since Thieves is woman-owned and values inclusivity, that you’ll reconsider this choice or at least make the signage clearer (for example, “contains nudity/explicit imagery”). That way, guests who don’t want to be exposed to that can make an informed choice.

The manager runs this place with absolute excellence!!! It is actually stellar to see people who do the job RIGHT! I will continue being a weekly customer, the employees all look so happy and are so nice! The atmosphere with the lighting and the signs and the music is PERFECT. 10/10 Go here with your friends or on a date!

This new cafe/bar in Broad Ripple has good coffe and great atmosphere. The menu looked good but we didn't try the food yet. We will definitely be heading back here.

Dirty Martini Drinker
Terrible. Asked for a Dirty Martini with Tanqeruay if they have it. She said ok. My buddy ordered a dry vodka martini with a twist. After one hour of three bartenders mostly talking, I got a cloudy orange flavored martini, and my buddy got nothing. I asked “is this a dirty martini?” The waitress in red said “yes with tanqueray” I said “it has no olives” and she said “you didn’t ask for olives (with an eye roll)” I said “dirty martinis come with olives normally and it taste like oranges” she said “it’s a tanqueray” I said “what?” She walked away- after 10 minutes of talking trash and pointing, she returned and said “it’s orange tanqueray is that not what you want” I said no I want a dirty gin martini, after a lengthy wait and my friend receiving a martini without a twist and no bite, waitress returned and said “here. Sorry (sarcastic eye roll)” then after talking more to the bartenders and gesturing returned and said “is there a problem” so we left. A fun night cap turned nightmare. If you want any cocktails that a college kid wouldn’t order- go somewhere else.

Best coffee in Indy! Espresso is so smooth, amazing specialty drinks too! You have to ask the barista , Gab, for her special pistachio drink! It was life changing!

First time at new location, the service is the same high quality and the drinks still good. The vibes are similar, but this location is a lot brighter. Restrooms are nice and clean. Couches here are very cozy and I like the wired cellphone. One negative is that there is no longer outdoor setting.
