Although my family and I did not have a meal, I felt compelled to write a review based on our recent visit. My family and I were looking forward to having empanadas and arepas for dinner here on Friday night before our son's soccer game. As we began ordering our food, the woman behind the counter told us she didn't speak English, and the kitchen was closed because the owners left her in charge while they were out. That meant no empanadas and arepas for dinner. Then, the woman proceeded to lift the lids of each container to show us what she could offer us for dinner. We weren't expecting a cafeteria style restaurant with food that looked more tired than fresh. We were hesitant to order food when the woman then told us it was cash only because she did not know how to use the cash register. Seriously? My family and I did not have much cash, so we left very disappointed. How does an owner leave the restaurant at dinner time, and then has someone in charge who doesn't speak English, can not cook, or can not operate the cash register. There wasn't a cash register to be found nor a sign saying that this restaurant was cash only.
