I brought my mother to dinner to get her mind off the loss of a family member. We waited more than 5 minutes to be acknowledged by the host. Seemed like the restaurant was short on wait staff because service was very slow. My mother ordered the pork on a hot skillet and the skillet and pork were delivered to the table cold and it took a while for our waitress to come back and check on us so we could notify her of the issue. Definitely not the best experience I have had at Tupelo Honey.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Breakfast menu was pretty limited. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were small and pretty plain. Honestly, I could have made better waffles at the hotel. And the chicken consisted of two small chicken fingers that were just okay. Pretty disappointing considering the price. My wife had the sweet potato pancake. You get one pancake. She said it was good. We ordered a side of sausage that consisted of two sausage patties that were maybe about an 1/8” thick, certainly not more than a 1/4” thick. They were very plain. The overall value of the meal was not good. Finally, parking is hit or miss. Be prepared to walk a block or two if you don't arrive early. We had reservations at 9am on Sunday morning (right when they opened) and parking was not easy to find. That is a one and done experience for me. Won't be going back.

Unfortunately the mahi was terrible, I think it was overcooked, dry. The collards were way too salty. So were the Brussels sprouts. The kids grilled cheese was made with aged cheddar which sounds good, but my niece and I'm guessing most kids, hated it. No one at the table ate and the waitress didn't notice, or say anything. We were there to celebrate a birthday and we were not offered dessert much less a free dessert.

Might be the worst service I've ever had. We had reservations at 1630. They had 4 servers, a host and 2 bussers. They had 5 tables full of 4 or less guests. We waited over 15 minutes to be greeted and a drink order taken. I saw every server look in our direction but no one came or alerted our server. The service at other tables seemed appropriate so not sure why a family of 4 was ignored. Also 2 of our plates came out and then minutes went by before the last 2 were served.

Had the best experience thanks to our waitress Whitney! I’ve never experienced such great service! She was so genuine, kind and funny. She literally mad the meal and experience one of the best I’ve had in a while. If there’s an employee of the month, Whitney deserves it!!

This place is where I discovered chicken and waffles. Well, not this particular branch, but the one in Knoxville. Anyway, the happy hour menu where you could try those for a few dollars a plate was amazing.

During my recent visit here, enjoyed (again) the same with the Mac & Cheese, and somehow left feeling I should've requested syrup to make them up to standard. That was on me. I'll be back, even though price creep starts to make this a less than budget friendly brunch option.

I never got to try the food because they told us they couldn't seat us because they already had a party coming in and they were short staffed. That party was not there, but they still wouldn't seat us. My question it's, if all the tables were full with couples would they have turned them away because they were short? What's the difference in having 2 parties versus all tables being full. It just didn't make any sense. I don't have to go back

2nd visit here in the last 5 days. The food is great, in particular the chicken and waffles. The service, however, was completely disjointed.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. Dominic our server was attentive and friendly and made my mom feel so special for her birthday. Thank you for helping us make her day even better! We will definitely be back.

We both had the Mountain Morning Bowl & it was AMAZING! Also had a blueberry/lavender Mimosa that was simply DELICIOUS! Will absolutely return! Waitstaff couldn't have been more attentive!

I was very surprised that the restaurant was almost empty at 12:45 pm on a Friday. Our server was great, attentive without being intrusive. I had a lunch special. The fries were excellent, but the 1/2 spicy chicken sandwich had absolutely no spice, minimal sauce which made it very dry. My companion had the sweet and spicy sandwich, wonderful with an emphasis on spicy, and grits which she said were great. A good experience; we said a return visit was possible.

Food was great. Original honey dust chicken was awesome. Daughter didn't eat all her waffle and it was delicious. Mac and cheese was the good homemade baked Mac and cheese and not the runny fake cheese stuff.
