This was my first time every having a boil. I shared my snow crab leg and shrimp boil with my partner and it was absolutely delicious! I'm not a huge fan of seafood and I will definitely be coming back here! Amazing staff and facility! Ugly Crab may be the most amazing hidden gem I've found in the city!

I wanted to try out Ugly Crab today, and boy, oh boy, this place is Amazing. The food is outstanding, the service incredible, and everyone had messy hands after, which tells you they enjoyed what they ate. I'll be coming back here soon!

My wife and I have been here multiple times and just celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary at the Ugly Crab. It was delicious as always and, although a little weird to go to a boil for a wedding anniversary, we didn't regret a single moment! Our go to is the shrimp and mussels in boiling sauce with spicy heat. The crab legs are excellent too as they are super tender from the boil. Can't wait to visit again!

I went with my family ordered 3 dinners we only got 1 . Had to go find someone to get the other 2. They were totally unapologetic about the situation. I didn’t make a scene. Just thought you all should know, once the food got there it was ok. Warm at best

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!! This place is a poor excuse of a seafood restaurant. The shrimp cocktail was brought out on a metal plate with ice. The shrimp was warm. The seafood bags were filled with melted butter and had no flavor! The service is also TERRIBLE! It took 25-30 to order drinks. The restaurant is very sketchy and the quality of food is not great! Very expensive for poor quality! Once again, this place is TERRIBLE and I do not recommend it! Go to Juicy Seafood if you want real seafood boils!

I ordered a Cajun crab boil. I’m not sure what sauce I received but it was definitely not Cajun. My crab legs had literally NO MEAT! The food was hot though

Love it here. The crab is delicious. I highly recommend just getting 2 lbs of snow crab and going ham on that. The calamari is ok too. They thoughtfully have a sink in the dining room so you can wash your hands. This location is also roomier, cleaner, and has an overall better ambiance than the Avon location.

Food was very tasty. Ordered at the counter and took it to go. Nice and hot with very little wait. I will definitely return. Price is a little on the high side but worth it.

I went with friends to Ugly Crab last night. It was fantastic and we had a lot of fun. It was very clean, surprisingly not busy and the service was excellent. The decor was casual but again, super clean and cute. They have a modest selection of beer, wine and White Claw. The orange slice on the Blue Moon and the lime on the Corona were generous and freshly sliced. Nasty looking bar fruit is so gross and these were perfect. The glassware was heavy crystal cut that reminded me of my grandmother. It was nice. The server was attentive without hovering and clearly explained the different sauces and other menu items. I got the snow crab, headless shrimp and black mussel combo (1/2lb each) with Ugly Sauce, medium heat which was garlicky and super good. It was priced at $29. It came with one piece of corn on the cob that was over cooked but still good and two redskin potatoes which were so good broken apart and dipped in the sauce. They brought a scrap bucket for the table and each of us received a seafood cracker tool, a fork and a bib and gloves. For those who haven’t been, you open your steamed bag of seafood and carefully dump it in to the metal tray putting all trash and shells in the bucket. I brought us all latex gloves because they work better and I’m extra like that. They saw we had a gift for our friend and brought her a complimentary piece of cheesecake and the two servers and the manager/owner came over and sang happy birthday to her which was unexpected but very sweet. We had a great time and 3/4 of us had never been to that style of restaurant before and all would return. Don’t sleep on it… try Ugly Crab on 82nd in the strip mall across from Castleton Square Mall.

Decent amount of seafood for the price and tasted good too.

This is the OG of the crab boil places. The food and sauce are excellent! Service was fast as well. We had sausage, shrimp, eggs, crab legs, the corn and potatoes with all the sauce mixed and got it spicy; it was flamage. Crab legs were good size, not the tiny puny ones some of the other places serve. Well definitely be back

Excellent restaurant with terrific crablegs. This was a great meal at reasonable prices. We went on a Friday night and was not very busy inside. I got the ugly sauce cooked with my boil and I definitely recommend it. So if you love crab legs and seafood like I do you can't go wrong with the Ugly Crab.
