Yoshi (Downtown Indy)

Listen, you USUALLY get what you paid for, but HERE you really get THE MOST bang for your buck. It's not as hoity-toity as some of the places downtown, but they can crisp a dumpling, chicken bite, and shrimp WAY better than any place charging twice as much.

The staff is friendly, and if you realy want that 'city at night' vibe, this is a cool spot to watch the cars drive by as you eat.

Ask for your sauces on the side, they add a little too much imo when the way they prep shrimp and chicken doesn't need it. I didn't try their boba, but I RECOMMEND the pot stickers (they're the perfect salty snack).

Prepared meal quickly even though the didn't read the special request. No biggie I got a freebie I couldn't eat but my kids sure could! Check this place out...late hours and plenty options.

I am not sure what happened to this place. It used to be my go-to poke bowl/sushi place in town. I would literally have it every other day. I have been out of town for the last couple months and just had it for the first time today again... total disaster. The fish used to taste so fresh, not anymore. Even the flavors and the ingredients have changed, and the entire poke bowl is being made differently, and it is really bad. So extremely disappointed! It looks like the staff was changed too. I was to watch the old staff cut up the fish and the ingredients in front of me, not anymore, everything is pre-packed. Horrible decision and changes!

Ordered door dash and asked for extra soy sauce and ginger. Not only did they not provide extra they just didn’t provide any. Simple request completely ignored. The noodle portion of the order also seemed like it was old leftovers. My fault for ordering sushi via DoorDash I guess.

Had Yoshi whenever I was looking for somewhere open late, so its cool they’re open later than most places! But the food was awful, I’ve never had sushi or chicken bowls this bad. I actually got sick the next morning after unfortunately. The rice was undercooked, the chicken was okay, the salmon tasted sour, I’m adding this up to maybe improper cooking/storage. It just sucked when we paid almost 40 bucks for food we couldn’t finish. The workers were just fine tho! The white man with longer hair was lovely and let us switch out our drinks for the same price since we didn’t see the options for it on the pickup app. Overall I’m sure it could be better! But its hard to order again if you had a bad experience with the food the first time.

Very good! The poke bowl is a great deal! If you don’t like too much sauce, I would ask for light sauce because they gave me a lot. Not sure what the other bad reviews are about, I thought the food was great.
