Zara Habesha is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Indianapolis so far. One place I went to was kind of expensive and too greasy, and another one had small portions. However, at Zara Habesha I get a good mix of items (vegetarian combination) and good portions.
Vegetarian options: Lentils, red lentils, yellow split peas (not pictured), chick peas, cabbage, greens, salad and rice.

We had a wonderful time here. I brought two others with me for their first introduction to Ethiopian cuisine. We loved everything recommended to us, and the coffee ceremony was just what we needed. Happy to support this traditional family business!

The best Ethiopian we have found in Indy by far! Ty (owner) greeted us with such warmth and love! The food was INCREDIBLE with so much depth of flavor. Every dish was on point! We finished with a coffee and popcorn ceremony. We were blown away by the service, food, and family ambiance of this place. Our new go-to for Ethiopian food!
