Was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere and very kind couple that runs the restaurant. To put it simply, I scarfed my food in about 30 seconds. The mac and cheese was creamy, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I would love to start going regularly.
I got the brisket with Mac n cheese, baked beans, and potato salad. Everything was fantastic. I wasn’t big on the brisket seasoning, I prefer the cracked pepper taste. It kinda reminded me of a1 but better (definitely wasn’t a1). The baked beans were slightly too sweet but taste great. Mac n cheese was good and the potato salad was one of the best I’ve ever had! Being from KC, I wanted to try something while in town. Nice little joint, friendly service and great food. Asked if I was from KC because I was wearing a Royals hat and of course I said yes. The guy in the kitchen, which I'm assuming was the owner said "I got something special for you, not on the menu but want you to try it".
