Yesterday, I stopped by Golden Twist. It's under new ownership. Got two pieces of pie, it was very good. Stopped in today with a friend for lunch! They offer a plate lunch special M-F something different. Today was meatloaf & your choice of two sides. My friend had this & said it was very good. I had a hotdog & 2 sides. Excellent. They offer a variety of comfort foods & ice cream. Stop by, there is a drive thru or a roomy inside dining area. The staff is very knowledgeable & friendly.
Sadly this will probably be my last visit. I don't know what's happened but it's not been good the last two times. I really enjoyed their food in the past so have they changed cooks? Today I got the coldest chili dog with some clumpy cold chili on it. In contrast I got one last year that was really good.
The visit before this I got onion rings that had been way over fried to the point of being hard and dry.
I had already got a mile or so down the road so didn't go back...read full review
