The food is satisfactory and the drinks are good. That being said it is overpriced ($10+ for a drink and muffin) for what it is. Also, they are not open until 10am, they are losing 4hrs of potential business as people are heading to work. I had to come back later to try them out and it is just not worth tge effort.
I really want to like Black Wax because I prefer to invest my coffee dollars in a local company (rather than a gigantic corporation from Seattle) but I so often come away with a latte purchase that is not worth the money. Either it is not very hot or it’s too sweet or something. As I’m driving back to my office with a latte I don’t love I know I don’t have time to go back, wait in line, explain the problem and give the barista another shot at it (pun intended).
Go to college in this town and came across this place Very friendly every time and remember who you are , will recommend to anyone . They have drinks that taste amazing my personal favorite is the Tiger Tea .
