I came in from Charleston, SC for my Grandma’s funeral recently. On the way back from dropping one of my sons off at the air my mother and I stopped in at Dan’s at 3 am. We were told that there were no donuts available for sale although there were racks and racks of donuts behind the counter as well as at least one employee busily making donuts. The whole thing was pretty bizarre. I really miss a good Midwest donut and wasn’t able to get one. The person that was at the counter was also not very hospitable. I do understand that it was 3 am but if you are a donut shop it seems that you would have a donut’s available A and people that were in a pleasant mood B.

I just had the most racist or prejudice experience at Dan's donuts in Kokomo Indiana and I frequent this place but this new generation that has been running the store is lacking on all levels, I've noticed the quality of customer service decline immensely. I watched the young man that worked there do something for a gentleman in front of me and then when I asked for the same treatment, it's "it's a dollar extra for you, and He Was huffing and puffing and acting like I'm being difficult. What was the difference between me and the person in front of me 🤷🏾♀️ I don't pull this card often but it is what it is. I will never ever buy a donut that I know comes from this place again and I will tell the story to the Kokomo Tribune. PS from the looks of the other one star comments this new generation is going to ruin your business.

Im a 30 year loyal dans patron and I guess I should thank you for breaking my habit of making late night visits to you. 4am on a Sunday morning and the donut cabinet is literally empty, and as I've been told soooo many times, I'm not allowed to have any of the hundreds of donuts setting on the rake. If all your going to do is only take care of the business orders, then close yourself to the public because I cannot be the only one that is this irate about visiting you and being told I cannot actually buy donuts. I don't leave negative reviews, especially concerning small business, but this is pathetic.

I was told this was something my family had to experience. They open at 1:00 a.m., so we got out of bed, and got there at 1:12. There was a line, and it was raining. Fortunately we have umbrellas in the car.
The wait wasn’t too bad, and we got into what looked like a small, old bakery lobby. The person at the counter took our order, and answered our questions. We got a dozen donuts, an apple fritter, a small order of donut holes, and a couple of drinks. It was all under $20!
We had some of the donuts in the parking lot before we left. They were good.
Overall it was a fun experience that I recommend. The variety of donuts was different than most donut shops. While I liked the donuts, I wouldn’t say they tasted spectacular. They were good, and I completely recommend the experience.
Parking: Small lot that was full when we got there. No parking signs in the surrounding streets.

I really love Dan's Doughnuts! I remember coming here in high school, over 10 years ago now & these doughnuts seriously NEVER fail to be just as delightful as the 1st time I ever visited here!! Absolutely delicious bakery pastries, a fine establishment & not to mention, they have great prices too!!!

Lived here 42 yrs. Always supported this place. Truly disappointed with the recent changes. Price have gone up, which is understandable. But at the same time making them smaller?? That's where you lose me as a customer. Won't support greedy ownership.
