Half Moon Restaurant & Brewery

I've only been in Kokomo for a few months, but so far this is my favorite place to unwind after work. Food is good, beer is good, not much else I could ask for.

Admittedly I was with a large group so that might have played into what happened but the food took an hour and a half after we ordered to come. Once it arrived it was all disappointing. I ordered the smokehouse combo with "pulled" pork and brisket. Everything seemed like it had sat out under a heat lamp for way too long. The tops were warmish and dried out while the rest of the food was cool and dried out.
I put pulled in quotes because that pork was not smoked long enough to get to actual pulled pork status. Also the brisket was dry and tough.
The corn "souffle" was just corn in heavy cream. That's not a souffle.
That does not even touch on the price. I would have been upset to pay what I did for decent food. I'm especially upset having paid as much as I did considering I didn't even eat most of it.

I was excited to try this restaurant but left disappointed. The food was not good and we paid a pretty penny for it. All of the meat was very dry and the corn "souffle" was just corn tossed in some cream sauce. I was also disappointed with their margarita. The beer and the fried mac and cheese balls were the best parts of the whole experience.

Love this place! The staff here is excellent and they always make us feel at home. The food is massive and delicious and the drinks are absolutely fantastic! If you visit, you must try the chocolate cake... it is amazing!!!

Found this place online and when I checked in my hotel I asked where is a good place to eat in Kokomo and the lady at the desk suggested it.
So I decided to give it a try.
When I arrived, I was promptly seated in an area on the back side of the main dining area.
The area was so freaking cold I thought this must be where they hang their meat out. It was freezing cold.
I ordered the half smoked chicken with no sauce, baked potato and BBQ baked beans.
The food came out promptly, but everything was cold. The chick had good flavor but it was pretty cold. The baked potato was so cold the butter wouldn't melt on it.
The beans were a little warmer but were way over cooked.
Not sure if I caught them on a bad day or what. But we'll have to think long and hard before I return.

I give them the highest compliment you can give a food establishment. For years and years the quality of the food is top notch. Easily in the 3 best eats in Kokomo!

It's a large brew pub with a casual yet intimate atmosphere. The brew vats are right by the entry, so the aroma of brewing beer is in the air right when you walk in. And that is a good thing. The smell of wheat beer brewing is very pleasing.

The food here is really quite good. I had the beer battered Alaskan white fish and chips and it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and the batter tastes like an artisan onion ring batter.

Had to update. Had a great experience time. Ordered the catfish..it was amazing..
2 pieces filled the whole plate..it was a little thin. But very good..

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of this place...I have plenty of friends who are though so depends on what you like...If you like smoked meats I dont recommend for that but their bar type food is good
