The Kokomo Starbucks locations employ EXPERT baristas!... These stores set an unrivaled standard of consistency, professionalism, kindness, and quality that Starbucks, as a whole, should endeavor to meet. Thank you guys, you are VERY much appreciated!

I'm not sure what is going on with this location but for the price, the quality should be up to standard. I usually just go on and drink what I get, but yesterday I actually did call because it's happening too frequently. Today I went to get my replacement drink and again, it's wrong. Yes I should have made sure it was right before I left , however I didn't so to make them aware of the situation. I was lied to about talking to a manager when I asked for her name I got put on hold just to get someone else on the phone. I believe she said her name is Jo and that she was in fact the manager on duty. She took care of my issue and when I thanked her I got hung up on. Very unprofessional from beginning to end and unfortunately this is the only Starbucks somewhat close to me.

Coffee is good. I only go with my daughter, she loves it. Unfortunately coffee is always Luke Warm at best. Also, I can't justify $6 for a cup of Joe! "I'm Frugal"

I was surprised to get a cluster of matcha on my first sip so I opened the drink to find a BUNCH of clusters. It was bitter not made properly at all and I had to throw it all out.

Excessive wait time!

Update: INCONSISTENT AND STILL NEED TO WAIT FOREVER! I order from the app 10-15 minutes before I arrive to this location (Markland & Reed Rd) and still need to wait 5 more minutes for in-store pickup. My biggest complaint at this time is…. I order the same drink every time… it NEVER tastes the same. 🥸 extremely inconsistent!

Passing through to Tennessee, never had been to this location but will remember it just because of a worker named Kathy— she was so friendly, warm & went above & beyond what you’d expect from a barista. Thanks for making my night! Give her a raise, starbies ✨

The food was great as well as the atmosphere and the workers were doing their best. Unfortunately the lady who took our order named Sandy was vividly frustrated. Which is fine we’re humans, the problem was she spoke to us very rudely and seemed to distress other co-workers due to her frustrations.

Ordered online and there was no one in drive thru so I went through to pick it up as I had kids in the car. The barista, Santana was very aggressive and rude asking me to pull around in 5 mins. Again, there was no one in front or behind me or I would’ve had no problem doing so. She then proceeded to hand me my drink, but not the rest of my items, and delivered yet again another rude and aggressive comment about giving them the 5 min. allotment of time and slammed the window. Again stilllllll no one in front or behind me. I proceeded to honk to get the rest of my order, and was ignored. Then I had to knock on the window to say “hey I’m missing a cake pop” and was greeted by an alternative employee. I just have to say when people are in customer service and are rude, aggressive and nasty, it makes the atmosphere and experience feel untrustworthy, and makes me wonder what’s actually in my drink. Try a little act of kindness and suck it up, ITS YOUR JOB BABE. Instead of only giving me half of my order, being nasty, having me honk, ignoring me to give the rest of my order, just do your job politely in the first place. This also hasn’t been the first time this employee has been complained about. Honestly, it all about how you deliver with your tone and body language. I’ve been in retail and customer service for years. A smile goes a long way.

It seems like there are some operational opportunities. The amount of people clocked vs the speed at which orders were being completed doesn't really make sense. I also ordered a caramel cacciatore with an extra shot of espresso and was given a cup of basically milk.

I have been coming here for years during my frequent travel to Kokomo. I will not be returning to this location. There are two very rude employees here and had an encounter with them that was completely uncalled for and ridiculous. If you are not able to relate to customers in a courteous manner then suggest you find an IT job or join the White Dudes for Kamala PR team. To the others that have always treated me politely I am sorry I won’t see you again there.

Community Service

This shop and most of the employees here are way too stuck up and or lazy. I’ve been to Starbucks in 7 different countries and all over the US, but this location in Kokomo, Indiana is by far one of the worst. I’ve been coming here for several months now, often I order a hot drink thru mobile order and they make it cold? I have even told “Ian” a female with black hair that espresso is always hot, unless the customers order states it’s iced, instead she kept telling me to order it hot or iced. I showed her in the mobile app if I order it iced, it will say iced. If I order it hot, it will just say 4 shots of espresso. It’s wild that I had to explain this to any barista at Starbucks.

It also doesn’t help that often times staff is “so” busy they don’t greet customers as they walk in or when they exit; when they do you can tell they just don’t care. Non a friendly vibe or atmosphere.

Parking: The one downside is there is absolutely no handicapped parking spots available at this Starbucks as of 06/10/2024. There might be 15-20 parking spots between Starbucks and Chilis to park and walk in but no handicapped parking. Plus there is parking on the opposite side of Starbucks entrance by the employees.
