Traveling through the area and picked this spot on the map, and I'm so glad we did! Our waitress was helpful and friendly, and the food was phenomenal. If we didn't live 6.5 hours away, we would be there weekly.
My golfing buddy has been raving about this place for a while, so we decided to give it a try. I decided to start my meal with a cup of the clam chowder, which a reviewer on this site had stated was very good. Unfortunately, I did not specify that I wanted a cup and received a bowl instead, which was a meal in itself. The chowder was good but could have used some bacon, potatoes and clams. The broth could have been thicker as well. I had my mind set on the bluegill dinner but changed to the sauteed grouper de Linda Lou plate which sounded even better. That plate was really good, with two grouper filets over rice covered in a seafood sauce. My only complaint with my meal was the broccoli side which was dull and tasteless, no cheese sauce or garlic butter. Just simply broccoli. Wife had the Chicken DeLuca, which she liked the sauce but said the chicken was dry. My buddy's wife had the bluegill, which were plentiful and looked very good. He had the prime rib, which I thought looked more like a steak than prime rib. Service was good, kind of pricey, and I am not big fan of dark interiors. All in all, not bad, don't know if I would go back as it did not really impress me that much.
Met my parents at this off-the-beaten track place near the river, trail and park in downtown Kokomo. Unique restaurant in a historic building (former ice house) so the inside has unique decor- the family side is separated from the bar side by a real rock wall and the logs and brick are also features that remain. We made a reservation at a non-busy time as we needed a quiet table. The staff was very accommodating and helpful both of our request and for our service. Service was good as was the food - we had a pork chop, ribs, clam strips and chicken deluca. 3 of the 4 of us brought half home. Would definitely go again- hopefully during a warmer day!

Got the sampler platter. Very greasy food. Server didn't even know what fish was what when we asked. Got the frys. Wasn't crispy at all, very soggy. Was also told the mushrooms were hand-breaded!!! Straight from the box!! Nasty food. Will not come back to this place. Save your money!!

We stopped in for dinner, and really enjoyed the experience. After a short wait, we were seated in this well-maintained facility. The decor has an interesting blend of a more industrial/ open-duct ceiling; and a more stone/wood rustic emphasis on the walls. Our server, Shelby, was friendly and attentive. Our opening rolls were quite tasty; warm & chewy, with a nice crunch on the bottom. The grilled grouper, and breaded bluegill entrees were very good; well-prepared, flavorful and amply portioned. The accompanying baked potatoes and coleslaw were great; with the mac & cheese fair. All and all, we were very satisfied with our dining experience here; and are eager to return and sample other selections.
Very good food! Large portions. Server was nice! Although the potatoes tasted a bit like instant, the taste of the country fried steak and gravy definitely evened it out! Their clam chowder was soo good.. and the side salad that came with was a good side as well! This is their Monday special. (Not including soup) we will definitely be back!

We're going to stop going so much because they charge $ 4 to 5 bucks for a soft drink or even tea ! That's ridiculous to say the least !!! I'm going to miss This place .

2025.09.02: We had a great experience today! Myah was a phenomenal server…personable, very knowledgeable of menu/food items, and we never had to ask for anything! We enjoyed the chicken wing appetizer, the Santa Fe & Fox club sandwiches…they were so delicious! Highly recommend The Foxes Trails!
