Awesome service, great homemade food at a good price

I read the reviews and was excited to try this place. Unfortunately, my experience was vastly different from what I had read. Started with a wine slush bowl and detected no wine. My meal was an overcooked dry chicken sandwich, hard hotwater cornbread and forgettable mac and cheese. My husband said the hamburger and cabbage he ordered were ok but the greens missed the mark for him. The wings we ordered to-go were under seasoned and over fried, tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I really wanted this place to be as good as the reviews, especially for the price we paid, but it wasn't. Still gave 2 stars for the hamburger and cleanliness of the interior.

I have driven by this place numerous times, and today I finally decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Firstly, let me say Walt and Shirley’s is amazing in every aspect, from the atmosphere, to the food, to the service. The building is very new, clean, and welcoming inside. There are several tables, bar seating, a pool table, and two dart boards. It is definitely more of a restaurant feel than a bar vibe, but that’s what makes it great.The food is EXCELLENT! They have burgers and wings all the time, with other rotating daily specials. Food was all fresh and extremely flavorful. The wine slushies were also very good. The man who waited on us was very friendly, and made us feel as welcome as family.If you’re looking for a quick bite or a place to hang out in for a while, Walt and Shirley’s is for you. I will definitely be returning here in the future.

Great food and atmosphere! The owner came out, introduced herself and told us her story of why she opened. The place has been completely remodeled and was squeaky clean. The menu changes daily and the wine menu was huge! We'll be back!

First time visit. T-bone dinner and catfish dinner. Both were excellent! The catfish was cooked the way my Gramps used to make it. It definitely brought back some memories. If you're after some down home cooking, this is the place to eat. We had to get the bourbon peach cinnamon roll to go. I was told that it isn't shareable. I'll just take that advice and eat it later, all by myself.

Its a very pleasant place service is awesome. Owner is beautiful inside out. I rate it a ten in my book only place I feel like I can go and be comfortable and feel at home. .food is wonderful and the people are totally awesome. Love it, ????? five plus stars.
