Word of advice to their chefs.Do not refry french fries. We can tell when it's done, especially when you have spent twenty years in a kitchen. Normally I have fantastic food. It's situations like this that make me not wanna eat here. That tells me that they're being too lazy to drop another basket of french fries. This is why I have been skipping the french fries ever since i've been coming to this establishment. This isn't the first time i've been dissatisfied with the french fries. I normally sub them from onion rings tonight.Somebody had requested french fries as well as onion rings. Il I once again will be foregoing.French fries from here on out. At this point, consumers expect fresh food.Considering the prices, we have to pay. I'm sorry that the cooked in the moment didn't feel that I was worth dropping a fresh batch of fries for. Thats how i feel about it. In reality, will I still come to the establishment Of course!!!! I just won't order your crappy french fries. At this point, they equate to steak and shake french fries in my eyes. Worthless french fries.🤣🤣🤣🤣 Again. Chicken is Fanatasic. Just skip their frys.

I literally travel from Chicago to visit this place every time I'm in town. It's the quintessential dive bar experience with a twist of have some of the best tex mex food in a neighboring college town. Try one of their poutine specials too!
DO NOT RECOMMEND Going in we sat down and were initially greeted after about 6 minutes of waiting. After the basic menus were passed around to our table my mother in law asked for a new menu and the bartender that’s trying to look like Hardy was pissed about getting a new one and never came back to our table. The other bartender however was pleasant but slow. Others food was okay but my food however (Fish and Chips) was awful. I received 3 very small slivers of fish that tasted and chewed like rubber. I had a decent amount of fries though and those were good. As for the Tap selection they only have 5 choices and none of them other than Blue moon are common around any crowd I know. Will not be going back.
