Perfectly appointed. Cozy. Plenty of seating for all kinds of needs - all day wine sipping, coffee with friends, or working.
Lovely menu.
Had the best bubbly š¾!
Perhaps timing a super busy Wednesday evening where staff seemed unable to keep up, one Reisling glass my sister got had ice chunks, another friend's French red seemed rotten somehow, the worst tasting expensive drink I've ever had. That includes Three Floyd's stouts which rival sewage. Charcuterie board was fine. Salad a typical strawberry affaire. Chocolate Torte and my Teays River lager the two redeeming qualities. It's a fun space with outdoor seating, a lot of energy and only the tiny wall bar space left for us. Maybe I'll try again but with many better places offering bigger menus, better value, and in tune service like Black Sparrow, Red Seven, and my all time city favorite Town and Gown, I suspect I'll let all the others enjoy the wine here since all I did was whine!

Lovely wine bar, especially outside in summer! Kendyll always has the best attitude and attentive service. Wine Wednesdayās cannot be missed - $6 glasses of great wines every week

The tipping prompts at Cellar Wine Bistro are a staggering 22%, 25%, and 30% which felt presumptuous and left a sour taste after an otherwise pleasant visit. We came on Wine Wednesday and enjoyed good bar service, tasty pizza, and a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. However, being dismissed to the bar after waiting at the host stand wasnāt a great first impression, and the tipping culture was frustrating.
I worked in the service industry and fully support fair tipping, but defaults as high as 30% feel out of lineārestaurants should pay staff fairly instead of relying on inflated default tipping prompts. Iāll probably return, but future diners should be aware of this policy.

Great selection of wine! Many interesting bottles, not the usual supermarket/bottle shop stuff.
I came too late to try some of the food and coffee but it's cool. I was just walking around and found this place on a whim. I had the Reisling and it was really tasty. Friendly sommelier also.

Terrible experience. Main hostess was not very accommodating from the get go. We ordered 2 glasses of wine each for the table of 5, after which the server came to us to clarify whether we had 3 each. When we said no, we did just 2 each, she insisted that she had 3 each down on her machine which was just not true. She said sheād clarify with the main hostess who in the end just backed the server up. Either she made a genuine mistake noting down our orders or she was just plain dishonest, we paid the entire check including the extra 5 glasses that we never ordered or drank. We were told if we donāt agree to pay for the extra glasses of wine they wonāt take our business which was unnecessarily aggressive which is when we decided to pay the entire check and get the hell out of there.
After a lot of back and forth and after being told āsheād get back to us soonā, no one came back to us - LOL. Probably because the check was already paid for.
We were asked to leave our phone number and name in case the āmanagementā decided they made a mistake, which I donāt have a lot of trust in anymore.
Iāve been to this place a few times before and always had a great time, but this single disastrous experience has
left a sour taste in my mouth. Been going to restaurants in Lafayette for years and always had a lovely experience. Safe to say, this was my worst Lafayette dining experience so far.
You guys lost a few customer tonight.

My friends and I love to treat ourselves to an evening at The Cellar whenever our schedule allows. A bottle of wine and a charcuterie board often suit our fancy, seeming like a decadent treat to facilitate our intimate gatherings. The atmosphere and service are greatly appreciated as well.

This place is really nice. I went on a Wednesday, which is there $6 wine night. The wine was very good high quality. The service was also good. It's a really cute little wine bar downtown.

Great spot to try some different wines and chill out! Their website isn't updated with the current menu, but their selection is still pretty large. A flight of wine is $20, it's a good chance to sample wines

A favorite spot in my hometown for over a decade. Niche & chic without being at all stuffy. Excellent wine selection. Excellent and inspired food selection. Plenty of Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free options, too. Owned by two wonderful sisters. HIGHLY recommend!
Beautiful people serving exquisite wine paired with a chef that can delight the most discriminating palateā¦
