I called them multiple times but no response. Their previous reviews are bad even then we go there to have personal experience but they were closed. No reason. I will never recommend them to anyone. Best place to eat halal Mediterranean food is Grilled Chicken place close to Purdue university.

This is my worst experience as the waitress continuously mentioned “no lamb, no lamb”

The time for opening is extremely unreliable. In addition, it always falls short of food supplies.

I came from Indianapolis and stopped here to fill my appetite. The staff and food here was excellent. I don’t know if this place gets the recognition it deserves, but I really hope it does. There’s a wide variety of quality, authentic food. Ali and Irham went above and beyond to make my experience great.

1. After we entered the door, we asked if there were lamb legs. The waiter never answered directly and told us that lamb ribs (cheaper than lamb shanks) taste the same as lamb legs, and then we planned to leave. As a result, the waiter said there were lamb shanks and served two of them to me and my friend. When we wanted a third leg of lamb, the waiter said it was limited to one per person and there was no more leg of lamb. It would take another 2 hours to roast it. We believed it then.
Then, about 10 minutes later, 4 people came in to eat, and the waiter brought them Brother 3's leg of lamb. My friends and I thought it was very weird, why did you lie to us that there was no leg of lamb? Is it possible that there are lamb shanks in the kitchen but they are not served to us?
Why is the limit of one lamb shank per person not written on the restaurant’s price tag? Does this restaurant think consumers are easy to cheat/trick? Moreover, there are very few other types of food and no beef. I repeatedly stressed not to ask for ice in my drink, but the waiter still wanted to add ice to my drink. We all know ice costs nothing, right?
2. The waiter said it was purely halal. As a Hui nationality, I can tell you that the meat of your lamb leg is dark red, which means that the blood was not drained before cooking. In authentic halal practices, the blood will definitely be drained. So, neither is the food quality. The chicken legs were bought from Walmart, as were the schnitzels. There was almost no meat and they were all flour.
Will never come again. I think $24 is not worth it for such a service attitude and deceiving customers. Highly not recommended.

Not worth it.This place was one of my favorites when it was Almadina, idk why it’s become this weird buffet style thing with limited options. I always had the beef kabobs before and they were thick and juicy, but ever since this became chef Malek restaurant, those same beef kabobs are always served burnt and hard. The rice was OK but not cooked well, and the chicken is usually OK at best too.The service was also warm and welcoming before, but not anymore. They treat you like they’re doing you a favor by serving $24 buffet food that is best described as mid.I used to frequently visit and order from Almadina and I’m really sad to see what’s now become of that wonderful place. I’m really hoping that they take this feedback positively and bring back the old flavors and ways of cooking and serving customers!

Food was great. Although the choices of dishes were a bit limited as a buffet, all the dishes were excellent. The signature must be the lamb legs. They are cooked with spices to the perfect tenderness. Tasted juicy and succulent.I would also recommend the chicken thighs. They seemed to be commonplace chicken thighs at the first place. However, the unique smoky flavor, the spices, and the crispy skin were outstanding. Definitely worth a try.Service and atmosphere were excellent as well. The waitress lady was extremely welcoming. She introduced all dishes in detail with personalized recommendations.Overall it was an amazing and unique experience for Mediterranean cuisine.

Hits the spot sooo good. Sad that there was no chicken shawarma available, or a few other dishes, but everything else hit the spot. Great flavor!

WEI FAN

I recently visited this restaurant, a buffet-style restaurant, and was left thoroughly disenchanted by my dining experience. For a buffet priced at $24, the variety of dishes was alarmingly sparse. The highlight of the meal was supposed to be the lamb leg, which was advertised as a specialty. However, upon arrival, we were immediately informed that each person could only take one. Disappointingly, out of my party, I was the only one who managed to get one. The others were told there were no more available, yet, perplexingly, the staff managed to find more for other customers shortly after.

Besides the lamb leg, the buffet mainly consisted of chicken and fish dishes, which were underwhelming considering the cost. Furthermore, the carelessness in the preparation was evident when we found that the tomatoes used in the dishes still had their stickers on them. This oversight raises serious concerns about the hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Our dining experience was further marred by what appeared to be a stingy and dishonest approach by the establishment. We dined well before the closing time at 9 PM, arriving just before 6 PM, yet faced such limitations and inconsistencies. It's hard to justify the operation of a buffet restaurant when it seems reluctant to provide an ample and fair dining experience for all patrons.

I am truly disappointed and believe potential customers should be wary of these issues before deciding to dine here
