I've been coming to The Downtowner for breakfast or lunch for years. To where some of them know me by name. The food is always incredible. Two different times, we've had the same waitress. This waitress will bring us our food and that it is it. She never checks back up on us or tops off our beverages. The first time we had her, she sat behind the counter on her phone and chit chatting with one of the other waitresses. The last time, she sat in a booth for at least 20...
I ordered food there two eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. I won the eggs to be over medium they were overcooked. The bacon was supposed to be flimsy but it was overcooked and looked to be old. If somebody orders eggs or bacon the way they like them that's the way they want them. And you should make it accordingly.
Utilitarian diner with an expansive menu, very friendly service, and great prices. Lacks any notable aesthetic, but that's not what matters here. Would highly recommend for a quick, fresh, cheap breakfast.
