Used to love el rodeo and hadn’t been there in a while and was shocked when I looked at the menu. Prices were insane, the food was super greasy. The chips and salsa was amazing but super unfortunate that they are not unlimited. Our family of four got a large queso, 2 combo meals chimichanga and taquitos and it was $70.
Tonight, my sister and I went to El Rodeo for the first time on the recommendation of a friend.
I chose tree different tacos: carnitas, chorizo and carne asada with cheese and lettuce on corn tortillas.
They were AWESOME. My Mexican Mom, God rest her soul, would LOVE them!
My sister chose a combo platter with an enchilada, burrito and a tamale. She loved it. We also loved the chips and salsa brought before ordering.
I recommend this restaurant.

They now only give you one basket of chips and salsa for free. More costs you $3 a basket which is a steep cost. They need to hurry up the meal in my opinion. If it’s not if front of me, the chops should continue to be free.
Seemed like the margarita wasn’t as strong as in the past.
Still a decent place to go for Mexican.
