I came in here with a group one night, it was amazing, the location itself feels very peaceful. The service from Cody was phenomenal, he was so polite and prompt while serving us. It was a great experience! We will definitely be back because of him!

I like to pop into small bars. I enjoy talking to the regulars and getting to know the local bartenders. I guess it was a karaoke night. It was fun listening to drunk people really think they can sing but also amazing to hear people who can. I wish more of them could actually sing though. Cody was my bartender. He kind of dresses like a religious vampire, if that makes sense. Anywho, the vibe was great and the patio was awesome. It got crowded but in a rotation. I would highly recommend this place.

Came in yesterday and saw a male bartender wearing all black with an earring cuss at another female customer and was very unprofessional. I waited 10 minuets to order a drink and he kept ignoring me and flirting with a bunch of other females knowing I still hadn’t been helped. Never going back to this establishment ever again!

After living in Lafayette for about a year. I've never had a positive experience here. Drinks are priced like anywhere else but service is by far not the Lafayette experience.
You are better off going anywhere else in town. Sure you might pay $1 or $2 extra for the same beverage. But you will get the better Midwest / Lafayette welcoming charm elsewhere in town.
Go to DT Kirby's or Digbys instead of you are late out.

One bar tender was nice but didn't serve me. The guy that did, barely spoke. Asked for an old fashioned and he pulled out his nasty pocket knife to cut a bit of orange peel. They used his clearly dirty hands to rub the peel inside the glass. Canceled that and did bourbon on the rocks. Not clean and zero friendly.

The Karaoke Lady was extremely rude to us, this was the first time visiting the location, the bar is amazing the staff is amazing but the karaoke lady was extremely rude I even told a group of people not to try to Kari because she was rude and told me I was too loud and not to do that when I was cheering on someones performance

Supposed to be the oldest continously operating bar in Indiana. It's a must hit in my opinion. Food comes from a next door restaurant, but it's tasty. Got the smash burger and enjoyed it.

I went to the Knickerbocker for the first time on my friend's 21st and was absolutely baffled by the discrepancy in service. I am writing this following our visit on the night of 4/30/25, on which two bartenders were working: a man and woman. The woman bartender was incredibly helpful and kind, but the male bartender seemed vehemently opposed to any topic related to bartending. When I asked him if they had any taps, he was dismissive as if that was an insane question to ask of a bar, then when I paid $5 cash for a can of Coors light, he immediately decided the change was for him. I likely would have tipped the remainder anyway, but his arrogance and entitlement were truly shocking. After consulting with friends who had interacted with him before, I was informed that this is in fact a regular occurrence. I enjoyed the bar's atmosphere, with great live music and a couple games of pool, but still left with a sour taste in my mouth from the abominable service from the younger male bartender, especially after such great service from his female coworker.

I spent New years count down and hang out for a bit here with my friend, as expected was crowded, however band was great and music afterwords also good. A more mature crowd in comparison to college bars. I will definitely will go back when have the change
