The food is good if you get what you want. If they don’t understand what you ordered they just put everything on it. I asked for two plain steak and cheese nachos and still they put every single topping on it. This has happened 3 out of the 4 times we ordered over the last year.

Very disappointed by the burrito and tortas. If there was cheese on either (there was supposed to be), we couldn't taste it. If there was hot sauce on either (there was supposed to be), we couldn't taste it. Steak was salty and otherwise devoid of spice/taste. Neither was special in any way. I compared the enjoyment of eating their food to Taco Bell. My son said I was being overly generous. La Bamba used to be fantastic. I used to go to the original La Bamba in Champaign, IL when I was in college. First time I had tortas and there was something amazing about the place; both the food and the people running it. Other than the artwork and "burrito as big as your head" slogan, this place is a decaying shell of what it once was. Adios La Bamba.

Bigger isn't always better. La Bamba is know for it's large burritos that would be fine if the meat they use was a descent quality. The problem is the meat used is a low quality and there burritos also have next to no flavor. The food is just not very good. The price is ok but with the food being so poor it feels expensive for what you get.
