First time visitor tonight. Loved the table side salad bar! Eric was our server and was fantastic! Appreciated one of the owners coming by our table and visiting. Hostess were very pleasant and quick to have a table available for us. Thank you all for a pleasant experience.

Excellent food, excellent waitress, but our disappointment was having to wait for our food order wayyy too long, because apparently a private party came before us & several other tables of regular guests. WHY did management not ensure sufficient staff to accommodate the situation in a timely manner? If this was my restaurant, tonight would have been all hands on deck. Chris & Betsy

I have to say I've been coming here occasionally since 2013 and this place hasn't changed a bit. That's also why they are probably one of the best steak houses to this day. They always seem to get my steak done just right.

We stumbled across this gem of a restaurant while visiting Lafayette and it did not disappoint! We haven’t been to a steakhouse like this in a long time. Traditional side dishes, excellent service and quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

Got the Porterhouse, Prime Rib and Ribeye. All were great but nothing more special than I'd do at home. Had to remind that I ordered mushrooms on the steak. On a Tuesday the parking lot was pretty full. We didn't have reservations and were put in a side room that didn't have any character to speak of. Our waiter was so nonchalant it was comical. The salad comes out on a wheel and you pick what you want which was fun after deciphering what the process was. I'd come back again, perhaps with reservations, in the hopes of being seated elsewhere.

We have been fans of Mountain Jack's restaurant for many years and were looking forward to another great dining experience on the Sunday evening before Labor Day. 2024. Our party of five placed our order for filet mignon and the scallop pasta. Unfortunately, we were disappointed beyond words by the quality of our food. The scallops were gritty, and the filets arrived undercooked (ordered medium well, but steaks arrived rare with raw, purple meat in the center.) They were sent back to the kitchen, and upon eating, found them to be extremely tough, and we even questioned among ourselves if the meat was sirloin rather than filets. I ended up taking my meat home to feed to my dog. To say that this was a tremendous disappointment is an understatement. I might add that our server appeared inexperienced, returning to our table to repeat our cocktail orders, but that can be overlooked if the food was edible. It just added to our terrible overall experience. What a shame.

The staff was was very friendly and welcoming and the door was great. My steak had a flavor and cooked perfectly. My only issue was that my table was not well lit and a little hard to read my menu.
