My friend and I had visited before and gotten the fried chicken sandwich and it was great! We were eager to visit again and enjoy the chicken salad croissant. We were very disappointed. From our first bite, something was off. We guessed that maybe the croissant had been grilled on a dirty grill. Our server was very good and tried hard. She brought us a bowl of the chicken salad to try. It was okay: bland and a bit stale tasting. She offered to make us new sandwiches and we took her up on the offer. Still had problems with the croissant. At one point the hostess came over to tell us it couldn’t be a dirty grill. She also told us she loved the chicken salad. I thought the problem was dirty oil used to brush the clean grill. I also wondered how long the chicken salad had been in the fridge. We ended up taking most of our food home. The hostess also made sure to come back and tell us that it must be our “taste buds” and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the sandwiches. My friend told her that we had had chicken salad before and we knew what it was supposed to taste like. The hostess again let us know we were wrong and invited us to come back again and have something we liked. The onion rings were great! The waitress was great! All in all, I wasted my money. Will not return!

Our server was on point and polite. The environment was very clean and well done. The food was good and plentiful. I had the biscuits and gravy on this trip with coffee. The regular coffee was good. I did add a little sugar and cream to it. The portion for the biscuits and gravy was nice as well as the baguettes. The baguettes were sufficient to share amongst the 3 of us. I'd recommend this restraunt to anyone.
Parking: Parking spots can be a bit tight for regular vehicles.
This place is amazing all around! Lovely coffee, I really enjoyed the Carmel macchiato. We came two days in a row, and every item we tried was delish, the flat iron steak with eggs was the best. Our server was very attentive and friendly! Prices were nice and fair, would come back again.

When I walked into this place, I thought that it was a hidden gem. Then, it went downhill from there. I ordered the food, and when it came it was wrong. Instead of truly fixing it, they took it back and removed the cheese, which my son cannot have, and tried to hide the cheese by flipping the hamburger upside down. No apology or nothing, which was in poor taste. Will I be back? No. I will continue going to West Side Diner.
