Stopped on our way through on a roadtrip and it didn’t disappoint! It was really steady for a Tuesday night but the service was great and the food (especially the cheese cake) was tasty and incredibly affordable! Wait staff was very sweet, food came out fast, and the owner was even there and introducing himself to everyone. Atmosphere was nice and you can tell it is very loved by the locals! If we ever go through Lafayette again we would definitely make it a point to stop there.

Good food at good prices. A slight ding in service because the table to server ratio is a bit high. They do really do work hard and try the best they can.
Maybe enclose the outdoor area to justify additional servers.

I’ve been going to Magoos for a while now and the service has just went downhill exponentially. The last time I was dining in with a girlfriend, we literally got our first drink and order taken- because we knew what we wanted- we have favorites of course- then nothing- NOTHING and I’m sure they were short-staffed etc., and it was getting busy- BUT- every other table was touched, even outside- except for us, who had been there prior to the other tables even coming in. To the point of getting their checks, getting boxes, and mind you- these were customers who came in well after we did, and they were in and out, in short order. it was all an extremely disappointing experience since we usually order at least 2 cocktails/beers when we’re out anywhere- so they definitely lost money.just serving us one drink and not checking back- which overall, was the most disappointing part of the whole experience. We were very, very, VERY disappointed with this service and that already made us not want to go back.
THEN in a Friday, around 330/4p I decided to call to do a pick up order- I was hosting an event and needed a rather large order and asked, prior to placing the order if i could pay over the phone- I was promptly told, just upon **asking**- ‘oh no, we can’t do that right now, we normally do, but not on a busy Friday night. We just don’t have the time”.
This was highly disappointing, considering I wanted to give this business a second chance, after the poor in-dining experience I already had less than a week or so prior. I had never ordered pick up/takeout from them, but had seen others come in and out while we were dining in the restaurant, so I thought it **may** be better.
Needless to say, they have now lost so much business- just from me and my 10 or so- girlfriends/couples/coworkers that I had recommended to go there and eat on a regular basis.
Truly so sad, they definitely have good food- but oof! The rest…. A lot to be desired for- I guess I’ll have to find another place to stop on the way to my new home, since I was actually looking forward to stopping here often….NOT anymore.

Stopped in for my Veterans Day pizza. It was Delicious. We also ordered the stuffed pepperoni breadsticks. They were equally Delicious. We have tried all the pizza styles here and none disappoint.

There is signs on Magoo's that says no one under 21 allowed but the owners but let their small children go in there but other people can't have their kids in there I'll call that favoritism or I guess they make their own rules and Lefty's tavern they let their kids go in there too but other people can't have their kids and Lefty's
