This is an update...meal ordered 2/25/25... I have changed my rating to 4-5 stars after giving the Lafayette Indiana store another try. I am happy to report that this experience was much better, and how it should have been last time. We ordered carry out with four meals worth, lots of dragon flavored shrimp and calamari, both excellent. Walts shrimp very good. The monday special lobster is barely worth it. Tiny serving and husband said kind of overcooked (which travel may have caused that) and that was the only ding. The cheddar bay biscuits were not greasy this time. We got all of the selected condiments. All of our food was tasty and fresh. The fish was crispy and it tasted great. I believe the tartar sauce is back to normal. We did not have any coleslaw. I just didn't want to waste my effort on that, as it's not tasted great for the last several years. Bakers were fresh and tasty. Thank you for renewing my faith in our local Red Lobster and providing us an excellent meal. I hope you have many more years serving our area!

ORIGINAL REVIEW 2-3 STARS 1/2025...I was excited to hear that red lobster was being bought by an American Company this past year and said they were gonna bring red lobster back to the way it used to be. I think the Lafayette Red Lobster missed the boat on that one, they forgot to improve our location. Or they really didn't improve much. We just spent $80 and only about twenty five of it was worth eating. The dragon shrimp and calamari are very good, but they almost cooked the calamari too much. We each ordered the crispy crunchy flounder. We have enjoyed it very much in the past and It was true to its name, crispy and crunchy. This time, both of us had fish that was not crispy and crunchy. There were several pieces that tasted very fishy, but it was almost as if they had microwaved it. It was tough, you had to rip it or cut it. It wouldn't break like a good crispy fish shoul, so a big fail on that. I don't know what you guys did to your tartar sauce, but it used to be great. I bought a cup of it and wish I hadn't because it's not worth it anymore. It was great last year. What did you do? And the coleslaw has been terrible for several years. Tried it again and it still isn't any good! Kind of tastes on the edge of spoiling, the many times I've ordered it over the last three or four years.I usually try not to get it.But now you have to pay for a side salad which is ridiculous. Your side options are pretty much starch and broccoli. The hush puppies improved over last year. The buscuits were greasy littke fritters. Baked potato was good, but we got extra extra chive and no sour cream and 2 pats of butter for 2 potatoes. We ordered carry out. I drove up, signed in. They said my meal would be ready at a certain time. That time came and went. And it was before 5:00. Then about 10 minutes later I got a text that said it was on its way out and 10 minutes later after I called them and they said, oh, it's on its way out now. A young lady brought it out and she said, oh I'm sorry it had been sitting there for 10 minutes and I didn't know I was supposed to bring it out here, I was seating people. And so I said it won't even be warm by the time I get home. She said, oh, it wasn't that long it will be warm!! 🙄 Well, it was barely warm and so was the slaw, by then. We have had carry out crunchy fish several times and it was fine, so it wasn't the travel time that screwed the fish. It was improperly prepared or they changed something. Big fat fail Red Lobster. Our 25th anniversary dinner was a big dud! Don't even think I'm gonna use my last $10 off coupon, I received a while back. It's not worth it.

We went there for dinner on Valentine's wondering how good the food and service would be since they were so busy. All of our food was extremely fresh and hot and the service was excellent! The best it has been there in a long time, great job!

Horrible food. Decent service but horrible food for the price. Laughingly Long John Silver's is better.

Tried it again, and I should have known better. Same experience. They honestly should be out of business now, instead of later. It's inevitable.

I thought Red Lobster had closed their doors so I was so excited to be eating there today. They changed the menu, but I got the shrimp duo (shrimp scampi, shrimp linguine alfredo, mashed potatoes) and a cup of clam chowder.
The mashed potatoes were not good but I loved everything else.
My husband got the shrimp trio (scampi, linguine alfredo, popcorn shrimp) he added bacon mac and cheese, fries and Walts favorite shrimp. He LOVED the popcorn shrimp as well as the cocktail sauce.
It was a bit pricy but the food was good, the waitress was very friendly and super sweet and the atmosphere is great for a date night.

I had the unfortunate luck of receiving a gift card to this "fine dining establishment". My experience with the staff left much to be desired. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for our drinks and some bread our waitress finally came back with bread and took our order. The ambiance or lack there of left me feeling empty, as empty as the restaurant, as my friend and I were one of three tables. As such I must wonder where our server absconded off to as we sat in our unalcoholic state. Finally drinks were served and shortly after dinner came trotting out. The entire ordeal cost me an hour and forty five minutes of my life and well over $130 dollars for some frozen slop that fell well below the mark.

The steak was gristly, the scallops were chewy, and my lobster butter failed to meet my expectations. I shall never dein to darken the Red lobsters door after such an abysmal experience. (The rolls were the only redeeming part of my experience) They deserve their bankruptcy posthaste.

Unfortunately I do not have facebook and would prefer if you reached out to me directly.

The visit was due to it being the only place open on Christmas Day, so major kudos for that. Place was packed as a result, and service was very slow. But staff did the best they could and we were very appreciative of the dinner out on a day where most were closed. New menu seems significantly pared down. The regular things are still there. Only food complaint is they changed the recipe for the tartar sauce. It used to be sweet, but now there is an aftertaste of acid and it seems heavy on the dill. Not an improvement, and seems equivalent to any of the high acid, shelf stable bottled tartar sauces you get at the grocery now.

My daughter and I stopped for what we thought would be a decent dinner. Upon arrival, we had about a 30 min wait, which was odd bc it wasn't that busy. I seemed unorganized as people with reservations were being told they would need to wait an additional 30 min, etc. At one point, a couple was told a 2-hour wait; the restaurant closed in less than 2 hours. Upon receiving our order, some food was missing, but the server never brought it out. I finally got her attention and asked, but at that point, we were ready to leave. What was brought out was very old and soggy. My fish and chips were bland, drinks not refilled, and had to ask for biscuits. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

We ate tonight there(Christmas Eve). Like we do every year. It was worst experience. We waited 2 1/2 hours for our food. Not telling us how long going to take. Our kids was very impatient. Worried about not getting gifts from Santa. Cause we was there total 3 1/2 hours . It was already past closing time. When we did get our food. Wasn’t that hungry and not enjoyable. Plus our shrimp was overcooked. There was alot of mad customers.
