Fig and Pecan scone is amazing. The place is so cozy and warm. I would definitely go back and try all the other sweets they sell.

I was there for the first time today and got three things. One was a decorated sugar cookie. I don't think I've ever spent $5.50 for cookie before but it was worth it. The cookie is almost 1/2" thick and tender moist yet firm with a slight almond flavor. The frosting is like whipped buttercream and not overly sweet or tasting of cheap fillers. It's like getting a small dessert cake. Having just sampled the gingerbread man cookie, I found the texture very similar to their sugar cookie but of course with different spices and sweetening. My third item was an herb and cheese scone. This was something of a disappointment to me as I hoped for a more true British scone which is closer to our biscuit with a more dry and crumbly texture and the augmenting flavors take a back seat to the basic dough taste. This scone is much more an American maximalist where the augmenting flavors dominant. The texture is more like a quick bread and the herb flavoring is strong.
Would not take a pre-paid cake order!
All is well when you get food from this location. Scones are right up there on the delish scale. Cookies will make your day.

I’m a baker. I wandered past this place, told myself I didn’t need pastries, and promptly walked in. The owner answered all my questions and suggested the rugelach. I tried their apricot rugelach and told myself I would save some for my husband, and it was so good, I promptly ate the whole thing. I went back the next day and bought several chocolate chip ones, which were EVEN BETTER. I went home and tried to recreate them and was sad they didn’t turn out every bit as magical. Don’t pass this place by on your trip to Purdue!

I love this place so much! I have never been disappointed with their food! The scones are absolutely delicious and pair wonderfully with coffee! They rotate the flavors and are very reasonably priced! One of my favorite places!

I've eaten a lot of scones in my life. In the UK, Canada and all over the US. I never thought I would find the best ones I'd ever had in Lafayette, but that is a fact.
I highly recommend the fig and pecan. Fantastic.

Tried calling them for one week…. Left voicemail. Sent email. Left Facebook comments. Finally went in person and they declined my request for a cake order. Will never return.
The place is cute, and the pastries are fine, but the owners take the all tips given their front of house workers for themselves, which is unethical. Not a good look for them as the front of house staff are the ones actually selling the pastries. I hope they can find it in themselves to be responsible employers.

Scones and Doilies is my favorite place to get baked goods! The staff are all very nice and friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. I recently got a Purdue cake for my graduation and it looked amazing, I felt bad cutting into it but it was worth it because it was delicious. Their chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had and the scones are a great way to start my day. Scones and Doilies will be one of my favorite parts of my time at Purdue!
