Sharma’s Kitchen is a community treasure. The owners and staff are gracious and attentive hosts. The food is simply wonderful. What a great restaurant!!!
This is an incredible place. The food is great. The ambience is good. But I could say that about a lot of restaurants. What makes Sharma 's different? It is their attitude towards their customers. Mr. and Mrs Sharma are meticulous about the way each customer is serviced. The warmth, the delight they take in making sure every one who walks in their door leave with a pleasant experience. If their food fills your tummy, their warmth fills your heart.

The hosts are really kind people. Especially enjoy their weekend buffets---very good value for money. The only authentic sit-down Indian restaurant in Lafayette.

I can't even begin to say how much I love this restaurant and the people who run it and work there! I've introduced so many people to Indian food because of this restaurant, but I always warn them to not be disappointed when they go elsewhere because it won't be nearly as good as Sharma's ;) I even took a bougie uncle who was raving about lamb chops that he had at a very fancy Indian restaurant in England and we got lamb chops at Sharma's and he was blown away. Now he wants to go to Sharma's whenever he's in the area. If you're not sure what to try, be sure to go on Saturday and Sundays when they have the buffet...there are so many amazing things to eat! I promise I'm not being paid for this review...I seriously just love this place so much. My friends and I eat there every Sunday ;)
Dietary restrictions: They have many vegan and vegetarian options!
Parking: Plenty of spots!
Kid-friendliness: It is a very kind friendly restaurant, but it's not filled with kids constantly ;)

Buffet dinner served on Saturday night (Aug 31st) was bad. Too much salt in everything. Dal was full of cream. Several items appeared dry. Chana for the paani puri appeared stale.
For at least one table, that I observed full of students, servers and manager did not check ID for drinking age before serving wine. Manager encouraged the students to order beer and wine but to my surprise did not check their ID.
Manager discounted my charges by 15% but that’s still not a reason to go there again. Bad food and more so total disregard for student’s legal age of drinking is inexcusable!
Kid-friendliness: Bad for students dining in this restaurant as at least on one table I noticed that the manager or server didn’t check ID before serving wine. Manager encouraged them to order beer and wine. Two students ordered wine but they did not check their IDs.

Good food. Aloo tikki was good, mostly veg food. Paneer isn’t the best. Overall a decent Indian restaurant.

Exceptional spicy food.. well spiced and custom heat levels. Only strict chilly heads should do level 10… have ghost peppers will p(l)ay ?
The ambience could do with less Indian kitschy decor… but then food outshines!

Best Indian Restaurant in Lafayette, the owners are so kind and welcoming. Would recommend Paneer Makhani ( Spice 8) and Garlic Naan with green chillies. All food is value for money!! Would definitely recommend 100/10✨
