Wonderful place to eat! The server was very efficient and not pesty! Can't stand going to a restaurant and the server comes to the table every 5 seconds! A little crowded not so crowded to be uncomfortable.

My sister and I went to Shellie’s today. Was not at Al busy when we went in. The food was pretty good, but service….. My coffee cup sat empty for nearly 5 minutes even though there were no less than four employees standing around the counter either on their phones or eating. The eating was my biggest concern. I understand people get hungry during their shifts. With that being said, I watched who I assume was the manager roll a set of silverware, then take a bite of her food. Roll. Bite. The whole time she was rolling. Then there was the server that was eating something out of a bag that was literally shoving her fingers in her mouth as she was eating. Did not wash her hands before she started handing guests food!! Makes me very nervous about their food handling if they do that in front where guests can see.

Waitress was not my cup of tea. Barely checked on me. Took my order and gave me a check. Never checked to see if I needed anything else. I felt rushed. I wasn’t even finished with my food before she put the check on the table. Meanwhile no one else had this issue but I digress

3/19/25- My wife and I recently dined at Shellie’s and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
I had previously won a gift card from Horizon Bank at the Latino Expo, and I would like to extend my gratitude to all three entities. Today, we visited Shellie’s Cafe for lunch and had a delightful time. The establishment operates on a self-seating basis, eliminating the need for waiting.
Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by a staff member. The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options without being overly complicated. The prices are reasonable, and they serve breakfast throughout the day, along with various sandwiches.
My wife opted for the Denver omelette, while I chose the Double Cheeseburger 🍔 with fries, which were available for an additional $1.99. The condiments were fresh, and I selected onion, tomato, pickles, and cheese, with one slice on each patty. The meal was satisfying, with fresh fries and a generous serving size accompanying the burger.
The omelette was fluffy and generously filled. The servers were attentive, ensuring our drinks were always replenished and offering additional items, such as jalapeños, at no extra charge. Notably, they use grenadines for Cherry Coke.
They also have outdoor seating and once the weather gets warm it will be open.
We were both pleased with our visit and have dined at several local diners, but we intend to elevate Shellie’s to our preferred spot.

Cozy little diner inside a former Wendy's that's situated next to an actual Wendy's. It's a solid choice for a comfort food breakfast. The food is good and the service is fast and friendly.

I had the Big 6 Breakfast with two eggs and toast, hash browns and sausage. Good stuff and reasonably priced for what you get.
