One of the last true small town cafe restaurants you can belly up to a counter and enjoy a nice breakfast. Don’t pass this up. You won’t be disappointed!

Great food and service but I really don't like the wrong prices on the menu. It's deceiving.

Had a simple question about their gravy and the manager ended up harassing me. I had thought after looking at the menu that peppered gravy was the typical white gravy flavored no meat (bc it gets flavored with pepper), I realized my mistake when the food came so I simply asked my server if this was in fact the pepper gravy to which she explained that yes all their gravy has sausage. I tried explaining why I was curious and tell her that there was nothing wrong and I was only confused for a second. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager before I could say no it’s fine, so he popped up so I just politely explained the situation to him instead and repeated that everything was ok tho and I would still eat it. After 5 mins the server checked back in so I finally got to explain it to her. So I thought bc here came the manager again who popped up saying “are you still complaining about this?” To which then he started asking again if I needed it replaced. So not only did he essentially not let his server do her job (bc again I didn’t flag her down she was checking in on what the situation was and that’s why I was telling her the update) he also was extremely rude about it and then when I told him it’s good again and I’ll still eat it he went promptly to the cook and started to talk about me (the cook was making direct eye contact with me after the manager started talking). This is harassment just bc I asked a small question and tried to tell them everything was still fine. He is the not manager of this establishment so unfortunately this was the first and last experience with this establishment. I had high hopes so I’m truly disappointed.

We have had great breakfast previously but today was awful.
My eggs were not completely cooked. The whites were stringy. The bacon had an unusual taste. I asked if they used butter or margarine the waitress said I don't know. I said could you please ask and she said how do you say that other word, she was referring to margarine. They don't use real butter and the gravy is pepper not sausage. No offer to cook my eggs. Is shellie still the owner no the cook bought it. My husband and I will not be back.

The food was good and well priced. Bacon was crispy, stuffed french toast was delicious, and pancakes were tasty. My only complaint is the hasbrowns could have used some seasoning. Our waitress was attentive and the atmosphere was quirky and cozy. Much better than other breakfast places in the area!

Wonderful place to eat! The server was very efficient and not pesty! Can't stand going to a restaurant and the server comes to the table every 5 seconds! A little crowded not so crowded to be uncomfortable.

My sister and I went to Shellie’s today. Was not at Al busy when we went in. The food was pretty good, but service….. My coffee cup sat empty for nearly 5 minutes even though there were no less than four employees standing around the counter either on their phones or eating. The eating was my biggest concern. I understand people get hungry during their shifts. With that being said, I watched who I assume was the manager roll a set of silverware, then take a bite of her food. Roll. Bite. The whole time she was rolling. Then there was the server that was eating something out of a bag that was literally shoving her fingers in her mouth as she was eating. Did not wash her hands before she started handing guests food!! Makes me very nervous about their food handling if they do that in front where guests can see.
