Quality!!! Pretzels so good that mustard on them would only hide the flavor.

Do NOT go to this place. Do NOT eat their buttery croissants. Do NOT try their perfectly sour and caper-y salmon croissant. Do NOT nibble their extraordinary pretzel dogs.
My wife and I were once young professionals. One day a mysterious woman (a colleague) brought us some croissants to cheer us up. Now we live under a bridge, scavenging for pennies. We dream only of buttery, flaky heaven. We subsist only on memories of perfectly soft and salty pretzel bread. We sleep to pass the time until we can go there again.
Don't try any of their amazing bread. Don't fall for the call of their perfect croissants. Leave it all to us.

Great.
Amazing bakery! We stopped by needing to pick up some loaves of bread when the ones we were baking weren't ready on time, and the staff helped us pick out some great ones! Incredible service, incredible bread. Highly recommend, especially when you're not short on time!
My Young Beautiful Bride and I visited the Lafayette Farmers Market this morning, and we bought an uncut loaf of Pumpernickel bread from Smittybread.
A few weeks ago, we were at the Farmers Market and bought our first uncut loaf. It was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor š.
This time, we asked the vendor to slice the loaf for us, but they didn't have a bread slicer with them.
So, they referred us to their store on 4th Street, stating that they would slice the bread š for us.
Little did we know that they were not only a baker of bread but a baker of treats as well š¤
We just had to sample just about everything that they had, and we were extremely impressed.
This is quickly becoming a weekly must for us. All their breads (except the baguette, I think, but Iām not sure) are made with sourdough, and have such a rich flavor, and perfect texture toasted or cold. Our favorites are the roasted garlic and the rye bread. They donāt leave me feeling bloated like normal bread does. The loaves last for several days in the fridge, and are a generous size. And the dessertsā¦.oh my word the desserts. The morning bun is a MUST try, and the cookies are so good!

I got the cherry danish and the jalapeƱo popper croissant and they are fabulous š truly the best danish iāve had, buttery flaky goodness
Hands down some of the best bread in the state! Not to mention their pastries and pretzels :-D They use rye in their sourdough that gives it the distinct nutty flavor and deep flavor that stands out amongst the rest! You cannot go wrong with a single item but favorites are their baguettes and danishes.
Nice ppl cute place great bread!!
